HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP: Tuesday’s scores and highlights – The Patriot Ledger

The Abington High boys and girls lacrosse team swept Rockland on Tuesday.

The Green Wave boys coasted to a 16-8 win behind seven-goal games from Hunter Grafton (2 assists) and Pat Prewitt (assist). The Green Wave girls won a thriller in overtime, 7-6, behind a winning goal from Natalie Van Luling.

In the boys game, Jonathan Halpin scored a goal and handed out 5 assists. Zach Buccigross scored the other goal.

In the girls game, Van Luling had a hat trick. Caitlin Happel scored two goals, including the tying goal. Molly Joyce tacked on two goals and Brielle DeJesus played well in net.

Falmouth 9, Silver Lake 6: The Lakers dropped the non-league game.

Cohasset 9, Norwell 8: The Skippers (2-0) won the South Shore League game behind a 5-point day from Liam Appleton (4 goals, assist). Charlie Donovan added 2 goals and 2 assists while Luke Willmott had a goal and 3 assists. Freshman Gus Greene tallied the winning goal and Colin Humphrey stopped 12 shots.

Hingham 10, Needham 7: The Harbormen won the non-leage game.

Plymouth South 13, Milton 7: The Panthers improve to 2-0.

Hull 13, Mashpee 4: The Pirates won the South Shore League game.

Scituate 14, Sandwich 8: The Sailors won the non-league game behind 5 goals from James Sullivan and 5-point days from Charlie Hartwell (3 goals, 2 assists) and Owen Hofford (2 goals, 3 assists). Reid Fulton made 11 saves.

Bridgewater-Raynham 11, Bishop Feehan 10: Jayson Kelleher scored 5 goals, including the winner with 1:23 remaining. Seniors Zach Sinclair, James Murray and Nick Rossi each scored one goal.

East Bridgewater 19, Middleboro 10: The Vikings won the South Shore League game.

Oliver Ames 19, Taunton 3: The Tigers won the Hockomock League game.

BC High 15, Catholic Memorial 6: Will Emsing had three goals and two assists for the Eagles.

Canton 12, Milford 1: The Bulldogs won their season opener.

Barnstable 9, Plymouth North 5: The Blue Eagles dropped the non-league game.

Cohasset 6, Norwell 3: Aizza Chase (12 saves) starred in net, and Kira Fulton scored 4 goals for the Skippers. Charlotte Pithie made 11 saves for Norwell, which got goals from Maddie McDonald, Danielle Cox and Holly Panttila.

Weymouth 11, Scituate 5: Megan Doyle led the way with 7 points and 11 draw controls for the Wildcats (1-1). Cam Flaherty added 4 points and Anya Younie (14 saves) was strong in net.

Canton 13, Milford 10: Ella Yeaton (6 goals) and Emily McCabe (4 goals) led the way for the Bulldogs while Ashley Balunas made 7 saves.

Barnstable 15, Bridgewater-Raynham 14 (3OT): Emily Keefe scored 6 goals and had an assist in the loss for the Trojans. Kate Lambert (2 goals, 2 assists) and Ashley McLaren (3 goals, assist) each had four-point games.

Hull 10, Mashpee 7: The Pirates won the South Shore League game.

Oliver Ames 12, Taunton 7: The Tigers won the Hockomock League game.

Plymouth North 16, Old Rochester Regional 13: The Blue Eagles won the non-league game.

Abington 12, Rockland 0: Jon Sellon tossed a one-hitter while striking out seven. He add three extra-base hits (2 doubles, triple) in the win. Henry Rogers also had a three-hit day. Spencer Merrick had 2 hits and 3 RBIs.

Bishop Feehan 2, Archbishop Williams 0: Christopher Swirlabus (6 innings, 4 strikeouts, 1 earned run) pitched well in the loss for the Bishops (0-1). Stephen Ondrick had two doubles and Ryan Beardsley played well at shortstop.

Brockton 9, Whitman-Hanson 8: Armani LoRusso had three hits and Zeke Inchaustegui belted a home run to break a 5-5 tie for the Boxers. Brandon Craven and Cam Beltramini had multi-hit days for W-H in the loss.

Silver Lake 2, Hingham 1: Ben Zschau threw 97 pitches over 5 innings for the Lakers, givingup one unearned run, and Collin Monteiro closed with 2 scoreless innings.Wes Hawley had the winning RBI.

Quincy 12, Charlestown 7: The Presidents won the non-league game.

Bishop Stang 9, Cardinal Spellman 1: The Cardinals dropped the Catholic Central League game.

South Shore Tech 10, Avon 1: Gabe Scanlon tossed a complete game in the win, allowing 2 hits and striking out 9. Tyler Holmes (3 hits, 4 RBIs) and Jake McAleer (2 hits, 2 walks) led the way offensively.

West Bridgewater 15, Holbrook 3 (5 inn.): Olivia Razza (3-for-4, 2 RBIs), Susana Carriere (3-for-4, 2 runs) and Mia Harrington (double, triple, 3 RBIs) starred offensively for the Wildcats, who scored 10 runs in the fifth inning.

Pembroke 7, Falmouth 3: Kelly McGee pitched well in the win for the Titans (1-1) while Haleigh Borden hit a home run.

Silver Lake 16, Duxbury 0: Autumn Fletcher went 4-for-4 in the win for the Lakers. Bri Ghilardi and Delaney Moquin combined for the 1-hitter by striking out 12 in 5 innings. Nina O'Neil and Maddy Bryan each had 3 hits.

South Shore Tech 26, Avon 1: Lexi Mitsiopoulos and Zoey Bradshaw each went 4-for-4 for the Vikings. Mia Bradshaw was 3-for-3. Every South Shore Tech had at least one hit and scored once.

Thayer Academy 20, Winsor 8: The Tigers won their season opener at home.

Plymouth South 5, Dennis-Yarmouth 0: Keira McLaugh (first), Elizabeth Nyberg (second) and Emma Colonna (third) swept the singles matches for the Panthers. Anna Quinn/Karina Dias (first) and Anna Lanning/Abby Coolide (second) swept the doubles matches.

Pembroke 5, Rockland 0: The Titans improved to 2-0.

Archbishop Williams 4, St. Mary's 1: Erika Duffin, Addie Woodgate and Catherine Crowley won singles matches while Reese Durfee/Olivia Antonios won at first doubles.

Plymouth North 5, Sandwich 0: Ava Boyajian (second) and Emmy Spinale (third) each swept their singles matches, 6-0, 6-0, in the win for Plymouth North.

North Quincy 5, Malden Catholic 0: The Raiders won the non-league match.

Duxbury 5, Norwell 0: The Dragons won the non-league match.

Whitman-Hanson 5, Brockton 0: Alyson Tobias (first), Sam Jacobsen (second) and Mari Santalucia (third) swept the singles matches for the Panthers (2-0). Delaney Hughes/Sophie Ennis (first) and Riley Gretchell/Mary Lynam (second) took the doubles matches.

Notre Dame Academy 5, Ursuline Academy 0: Amelia Maw, Sophia Lirio and Bella LaGrassa won in singles, and NDA swept the doubles with the teams of Vivienne Lagrassa/Megan Ravenisi and Gabi Marchione/Julia Walsh.

Durfee 5, Middleboro 0: The Sachems dropped their season opener.

North Quincy 5, Malden Catholic 0: The Raiders won the non-league game.

Scituate 5, Norwell 0: The Sailors won the non-league game.

Plymouth North 3, Sandwich 2: Liam Husband (second singles), Will Bergendahl (third singles) and Max Donnelly/Adam Halperin (first doubles) all won their matches for the Blue Eagles.

Rockland/East Bridgewater 4, Pembroke 1: Petr Quinn (second singles), Leo Monterio (third singles), Logan Maguire/Kaden Gerstal (first doubles) and Will Cifrino/Mo Asad (second doubles) all had wins for Rockland/EB.

Whitman-Hanson 5, Brockton 0: Brady Wright (first), Mateo Santalucia (second) and James Goyette (third) swept the singles for the Panthers (1-0). Tristan Baker/George Dykens (first) and Drew Fountain/Conor Thomas (second) took the doubles matches.

West Bridgewater 77, Blue Hills 59; WB 122, Holbrook 12; BH 114, Holbrook 17: WB swept the shot put (Sean Carter, Kenly Laime, Nate Anderson), long jump (Tommy Perna, Sam Salter, Junya Keith) and 200m (Will DeLuca, Sean Hancock, George Baroud).

Foxboro 88, Canton 48: For Canton, Ruairi Ritson won the high jump (5-0) and was second in the shot put (38-2.75) and third in the 110m hurdles (:20.4). Godson Ofanagoro won the 100m (:12.0) and was third in the long jump (17-5.5). Blair Resil was second in the 100m (:12.2) and long jump (19-6.75), and Sam Vail was third in the 400m hurdles (:66.3), javelin (106-5), and 2-mile (12:10).

Blue Hills 85, Holbrook 51; West Bridgewater 75, Holbrook 57; BH 80, WB 56: Senior Angela Rossini, senior Zackeisha Theza, and sophomore Alexis D'Arcy led Blue Hills (2-0) in points, and junior Maya Ludkiewicz beat her own school record in the 100m hurdles. For WB, Caroline Auger (long jump, 800m) and Ava Xayvaong (triple jump, 100m hurdles) were double winners.
