EAST SANDWICH - Dylan Hammons was 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored for the Barnstable Red Hawks as they beat the Sandwich Blue Knights7-3for their third straight win inbaseball action on Wednesday.

Casey Proto pitched 6 innings and allowed 6 hits, 3 runs, 0 earned runs, 2 walks and had 4 strikeouts, Will Joneswas2-for-4 with a double and run scored, Gibson Guimond was 2-for-3 with a walk and scored arun and Braden Burke was 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored andaRBI for Barnstable(5-1).

CalebVevesquepitched 4 innings and allowed 4 hits, 3 runs and had 5strikouts, Owen Beaton was 2-for-4 with a run scored, Jeremy Angeles was 3-for-4 and scored 2 runs and MicthellNorkeviciuswas 1-for-3 with a double and a walk for Sandwich (2-5).

The game was tied 3-3 going into the 7thinning.

Cam Lakatos was 3-for-3 with a homerun, a double and 5 RBIs and Vaillancourt was also 2-for-4 with 2 runs for JPII (6-1).

Nauset 9,Dennis-Yarmouth 1: Kurt Thomas pitched 6 innings and had 9 strikeouts while allowing 2 hits and 0 runs for the Warriors as they beat the Dolphins for their sixth straight winin North Eastham.

Ethan Keeney was 3-for-4 with 3 runs scored and a RBI, Noah Clarke was 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs, Thomas was 1-for-3 with 2 RBIs and Chase Wiley was 2-for-2 and scored 3 runs for Nauset (6-0).

Falmouth 11,Marthas Vineyard 5:Sam Cavossa was 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs and a run scored for the Clippers as they defeat the Vineyardersin Falmouth.

Max McDonald was 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs and scored a run,Andrew Debbetncourt scored 2 runs,Nico Gagnon had 2 runs scored and a RBI,Sam Greisbauer was 1-for-4 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored andJared Burridge Lopes pitched 4 innings with 5 strikeouts and allowed 2 runs, 1 earned run and 6 walks for Falmouth (5-2).

Dighton-Rehoboth 12, Bourne 5: Joe Carrara made it a one-run game with a big double in the sixth inning, but the Canalmen lost a South Coast Conference game to the Falcons in Bourne.

Carrara's two-out double cleared the bases in the sixth to pull within 5-4, but D-R scored seven runs in the top of the seventh to pull away. Bourne (0-3) got on the board when Brady Fitzpatrick singled home Ethan Dunn (two hits) in the third inning, but D-R took the lead with a five-run fifth inning.

Dighton-Rehoboth 15,Bourne1: Abby Russell was 1-for-2 with a triple for theCanalmenin a loss to the Falconsin Dighton.

PaigeMedawas 1-for-2 with a single and a RBI and Taylor Flaherty got her first varsity hitforBourne(0-4).

Monomoy 12, Martha's Vineyard 0: Seniors Cara Jolbois and Devinne Wilson celebrated Senior Day with 2-for-4 showings as the Sharks shut out the Vineyarders in Harwich. Cape & Islands League action

AJ Gates went 2-for-4 for Monomoy (8-0), and seniors Libby Anderson and Caitlon Bouvier each had a hit.

BOYS LACROSSE

South Shore Voke 18,Cape Tech 9: Ezra Leary scored 5 goals for theCrusadersbut it wasnt enough as they lost to the Vikingsin Hanover.

Luke Pineo scored 3 goals and Nick Milward tallied on a goal and Matt Escher had an assist for Cape Tech (0-3).

Old Rochester 23,Bourne0:Nick Santuccui had 25 saves for the Canalmen but they were shut out by the Bulldogs.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Nauset sweeps Sandwich: The Warriors boys won 90-38, and the girls won 67-64 to sweep the Blue Knights in a Cape & Islands League Atlantic match in East Sandwich.

For the Sandwich girls,Caitlin Kelly won the 800 meters (2:33)and the 1-mile (6:03).Maddie Keyes won the high jump (4'8")

For the Nauset girls,Izzy Noblie won the 2-mile (11:45) and400 meters(1:05.7),Sophia Christopher won the 400 hurdles (1:06. 3)100 hurdles(16.1), long jump (15'6.5") and triple jump (33'8.5").Monica Malcolm won the 200 meters (27.5) and 100 meters (13.5 ).
