Feb. 24: Tim Wise visit, lecture on combating racism

Tim Wise, one of the nations most prominent anti-racist essayists and educators, will be speaking at EWU on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

Wise is the author of a number of books addressing race and culture including White Like Me: Reflections on Race from a Privileged Son.Learnmore information about Wise on his website: http://www.timwise.org/

Wise will address our campus community with his lecture, Combating Racism: From Ferguson to the Voting Booth to the Border. The event is free and open to the public. Wise is scheduled for the following events:

The event is being sponsored by the College of Social & Behavioral Sciences and Social Work, American Indian Studies, Chicano Education Program, Africana Education, the Presidents Advisory Committee on Diversity, the Provosts Office, Communications Studies, School of Social Work, Sociology/Justice Studies and Womens and Gender Studies.
