SpaceX in Axiom Mission 3, aims microgravity research on ISS – Interesting Engineering

In collaboration with Axiom Space and SpaceX, NASA has achieved another milestone in expanding access to space.

The Axiom Mission 3 (Ax-3) crew, consisting of Commander Michael Lpez-Alegra, Pilot Walter Villadei, and Mission Specialists Marcus Wandt and Alper Gezeravci, embarked on a historic journey, lifting off at 4:49 pm EST on Thursday from Launch Complex 39A at NASAs Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

The launch was facilitated by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, propelling the Dragon spacecraft into orbit.

The primary objectives of this private astronaut mission include approximately two weeks of conducting microgravity research, educational outreach, and commercial activities aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
