Laurence Fishburne is one of Cinemas most recognizable African American actors. The 60 year old actor has been in multiple films and TV series, spanning from films like Boyz n the Hood, EventHorizon, The Matrix series, the John Wick series, as well as TV series like Pee-Wees Playhouse and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He also is known for appearing in 2018s Ant-Man and The Wasp as Dr. Bill Foster AKA Black Goliath, making his debut in the ongoing Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Recently the actor sat down with ComicBook.com to promote his upcoming project MacGruber. When asked bout him possibly returning to the MCU he responded:

What if I told you I dont know? I dont know.

This hints that we might not see Bill Foster in the upcoming 3rd Ant-Man film. It is currently unknown if he will return to the role.

Black Goliath debut in The Avengers #32 in September of 1966. He became known as Black Goliath in Luke Cage, Power Man #24 in April of 1975. He went on to become the second hero to be known as Giant Man and the fourth to take the name Goliath. He is one of the only Marvel heroes to be a member of The Avengers, The Defenders and The Champions.

He is probably most known for being the first major death in Marvels Civil War storyline, being killed by the Robotic Thor clone Ragnarok. He was killed in his giant form so he was buried in a large grave that required bulldozers to dig. The battle he died in was recreated in Captain America: Civil War but with Ant-Man standing in, and of course Ant-Man didnt die.

With Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania premiering in 2023 we still might get a chance of him appearing as a surprise or mentioned by another character. Lets hope he isnt gone for goo.
