Jim Boykin Acquires WebmasterWorld Forums

Jim Boykin, CEO of Internet Marketing Ninjas (IMN), CEO of Developer Shed, and owner of Cre8asiteForums, along with Brett Tabke, Founder and Chief Executive of WebmasterWorld (WMW) and PubCon announce the acquisition of WebmasterWorld by Boykin and usher in a new era for the forum.

Las Vegas, NV (PRWEB) October 17, 2012

The acquisition comes on the heels of several recent announcements made by Boykin, including the acquisition of Cre8asiteforums, the Developer Shed Network, and the addition of top SEOs Kris Jones, Kim Krause Berg, and Ann Smarty to the companys executive staff. 2012 has been a major year for IMN and I feel privileged to be a part of WebmasterWorld. Ive been a member of WMW for over 10 years, and Ive learned so much from so many there. I have so much respect for the community members and it gives me the uttermost pride to be able to work with the community to move WMW into the future. I am very humbled and ready to listen to, and work with, this amazing community, said Boykin.

Jim and Internet Marketing Ninjas is the ideal match for WebmasterWorld, said Pubcon and WebmasterWorld Founder and Chief Executive, Brett Tabke. I couldnt have asked for a better situation than a long-time member acquiring WebmasterWorld. I have every confidence that Jim and his crew will give WebmasterWorld the resources and commitment needed to keep the community strong for many years to come, he continued. Tabke and WebmasterWorld have also been instrumental in the development of the Pubcon series of conferences.

Although Tabke has sold WebmasterWorld to Boykin, Tabke will retain full ownership of his other business, the Pubcon conferences. Tabke plans to invest his future efforts primarily into these conferences.

Ted Ulle, known as Tedster, a top forum contributor, also noted, I've known Jim Boykin for many years, and I appreciate how much he loves SEO and the forums - one of the best kinds of social media, and one that dates back to before the term social media was invented; and while there's only one Brett Tabke, if there's going to be a change, I'd say Jim is the ideal captain for the ship. I'm excited about the future we can build together, as well as preserving all the good that Brett led us to.

Neil Marshall, Director of WebmasterWorld Forum Operations, stated, I'm delighted to be involved with Jim and his team at Internet Marketing Ninjas. This is an exciting new era for WebmasterWorld and Im really looking forward to continuing to develop the site for the benefit of its members, and retaining the site's world-renowned, quality discussion forum for webmasters and their businesses. Thank you to Brett Tabke, for giving webmasters an independent vehicle to meet and to discuss current hot topics, turning the site into a major brand for webmasters. I'm sure the whole team is ready to keep that going forward and to develop new ideas for today's Internet marketing businesses.

Jim Boykin Acquires WebmasterWorld Forums

WebmasterWorld Sold To Jim Boykin’s Internet Marketing Ninjas

One of the more popular Webmaster and SEO forums, WebmasterWorld, has been sold today to Jim Boykins Internet Marketing Ninjas.

Jim Boykin has been acquiring several forums this year, including all of the Developer Shed network including SEO Chat forums and Cre8asite Forums from Kim Krause Berg.

Cre8asite Forums has been around since 1998 as a modest sized forum but WebmasterWorld has been around since 1999 as one of the larger webmaster focused forums on the internet. Many forums have come and gone over the years but those two remained live and vibrant.

I spoke with Brett Tabke, the founder of WebmasterWorld, about selling his baby to Internet Marketing Ninjas, and he told me the primary reason is he wants to focus on building and improving his conference, PubCon. In fact, the official announcement was made during this mornings keynote at PubCon. Theres also an announcement up at the Pubcon site.

Brett also explained that the time and investment needed to take WebmasterWorld to the next level was something he wasnt necessarily interested in undertaking. Brett seemed tired and a bit worn out from running the forums. At least operationally, he wont have to worry if the server is up and running, if someone is spamming the forum or if there is a coding issue.

Brett is staying on as an administrator for the time being and does plan on continuing to participate in the forums. He shares a bit on this in this WebmasterWorld postand promises a more personal post to come.

Nothing is changing today with WebmasterWorld outside of the ownership. The forum software is remaining, no new ads or going up, as far as I know, no moderators or administrators are leaving because of the news.

Jim Boykin told me he is buying these communities to give back to the community. He told me he has a successful business, and he learned so much from these forums and this is his way to say thank you. More of his rational on buying these forums on his blog.

The same was with the Cre8asite Forums takeover, and I believe the Developer Shed takeover. Kim is still running Cre8asite forums but is now employed by Internet Marketing Ninjas. I spoke with Kim and she is happier than ever. I know Internet Marketing Ninjas hired the orignal founder of SEO Chat, Darrin Ward, to come back to SEO Chat and lead that forum. Darrin sold the forum years ago to Developer Shed, so it has come full circle for him.

What is next for Brett Tabke, the founder of WebmasterWorld? Well, he is planning a long vacation in Hawaii, something he has never really done since founding WebmasterWorld.

Jim Boykin (Internet Marketing Ninjas) Buys WebmasterWorld Forum

WebmasterWorld and Pubcon founder Brett Tabke has sold WebmsaterWorld to Jim Boykin, who runs Internet Marketing Ninjas. The announcement was made today at PubCon, which Tabke will continue to run.

Internet Marketing Ninjas, led by company founder Jim Boykin, is the ideal match for WebmasterWorld, said Tabke. I couldnt have asked for a better situation than a long-time member acquiring WebmasterWorld.

WebmasterWorld is just the latest in a series of forums Boykin has acquired. Other recent pick-ups include Cre8asiteforums, and the Developer Shed Network.

2012 has been a major year for IMN and I feel privileged to be a part of WebmasterWorld, says Boykin. Ive been a member of WMW for over 10 years, and Ive learned so much from so many there. I have so much respect for the community members and it gives me the uttermost pride to be able to work with the community to move WMW into the future. I am very humbled and ready to listen to, and work with, this amazing community.

WebmasterWorld Director of Operations, Neil Marshall, offered the following statement: Im delighted to be involved with Jim and his team at Internet Marketing Ninjas. This is an exciting new era for WebmasterWorld and Im really looking forward to continuing to develop the site for the benefit of its members, and retaining the sites world-renowned, quality discussion forum for webmasters and their businesses. Thank you to Brett Tabke, for giving webmasters an independent vehicle to meet and to discuss current hot topics, turning the site into a major brand for webmasters. Im sure the whole team is ready to keep that going forward and to develop new ideas for todays Internet marketing businesses.

WebmasterWorld is a place where there is a great deal of discussion from webmasters dealing with Google various algorithm updates. Such discussions often give clues to new major algorithm changes that Google makes before they are officially announced (although there is often a lot of talk that leads to false alarms).

It will be interesting to see how the forum evolves under new ownership. From the sound of it, the community itself wont be changing much.

Tabke says he intends to invest his future efforts into the PubCon conferences.
