Hillary Clinton is a misogynist but blames others – Washington Times

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Hillary Clinton has emerged from the woods determining that her election loss is everyones fault but her own. But even more surprising was that Donald Trump colluding with the Russians was suddenly no longer the main culprit; no, now it was hatred of women that fueled her loss. But this was no ordinary misogyny, it was the fault of women in particular who apparently hate other women. Or something.

In fact, if theres a misogynist in this story, its Hillary Clinton.

Mrs. Clinton spoke about her forthcoming book to The New York Times Nicholas Kristof at the Women in the World Summit in New York, in which she will explain it was misogyny, the FBIs James B. Comey, WikiLeaks and Russia that did her in.

In other words, a book of fiction blaming everyone except herself.

Mr. Kristof dutifully asked her about the impact misogyny had on the election, handing her the plate she required to indirectly riff on how those who did not vote for her are bad, mean people.

Im currently writing a book where I spend a lot of time wrestling with this, she noted. As you might guess, Ive thought about it more than once. I dont know that there is one answer. It is fair to say that certainly misogyny played a role. That just has to be admitted.

At one point Mr. Kristof directly asks Mrs. Clinton who she blames for her loss. Her simple answer confirms a mindset that has removed herself entirely from the equation, while placing everyone else at the fulcrum: How much time do you have?

The fact of the matter is this: The people who didnt vote for Hillary Clinton like women just fine, but they didnt like one in particular her. It was her patronizing sanctimony that repulsed people, yes, including women, during a campaign now returning as a charged-up revenge tour.

Mrs. Clinton holds herself up as a lesson for girls and women in the damage misogyny can do. And shes right, but the perpetrators are not the women who voted their conscience last year.

The ultimate in misogyny is stripping women of their agency, of their self-worth. By excusing her self-inflicted failure on the deeds of others, Mrs. Clinton is telling women nothing they do matters; their choices are irrelevant; their own decisions are meaningless. In Hillarys world, women are at the mercy of the environment, like a piece of driftwood in the sea.

And yet this woman, victimized by so much, still insists she coulda, woulda, shoulda, been president.

Are women impacted by the actions of others? Of course we are. Our lives are more complex and the issues we face at home and in the workplace must be continually challenged. Women who succeed recognize that it is our choices that make the difference on both what we offer and what we overcome.

Instead, Mrs. Clinton relies on old feminist tropes, unable to face her own failures. She took for granted her base of support. She presumed she was owed the votes of a certain type of person and then felt comfortable ignoring them. She ran a campaign of vengeance and entitlement, while promoting an agenda that would further the economic destruction of the country and ignored our increasingly perilous national security.

Hillary Clinton lost because shes Hillary Clinton. She lost because she never set foot in Wisconsin. She lost because she lied. She lost because of her horrible judgment and a resentment of, well, everyone.

She lost because she ran a campaign where she was the one who was to be elevated and lauded, when that is usually reserved for the American electorate.

She made herself the point, when the point was the United States. She lost because, like most politicians, she viewed the American people as obstacles to overcome, not people to get to know.

As Hillary was rolling out her revenge tour last week, there was another woman emerging as the breakout star of the Trump administration. Nimrata Randhawa (also known as Nikki Haley), our ambassador to the United Nations. Mrs. Haley was schooling the world body and U.N. Security Council specifically about the horrors of the Syrian chemical weapons attack on opponents of President Bashar Assads regime.

Mrs. Haley, a former governor of South Carolina with no international diplomatic experience, was viewed suspiciously when first named to the post. Critics, including this columnist, were concerned about her lack of a resume on the serious issues besetting the world. How could someone, with no background at all in international politics and diplomacy, handle the pit that is the U.N.?

Those concerns no longer exist after her virtuoso handling of an international crisis, replete with chemical weapons, mass murder, terrorist groups, Russia and Iran. Mrs. Haley was an iron fist in a velvet glove. She did not bend, she controlled the environment, and led.

We can all presume there is an overwhelming amount of misogyny at the U.N. Mrs. Haley is likely dealing with it every day, and yet everyone at the U.N. now knows who is in charge. And its not the boys from Syria, Russia or Iran.

If were looking for role models for women, the best choice is to look to women who find their power inside, own their choices and forge onward, not to those who insult us all by insisting were all victims, at the perpetual mercy of others.

Hillary Clinton wins Planned Parenthood’s ‘Champion of the Century’ – Washington Times

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Hillary Clinton may have lost her shot at wearing the White House presidential hat. But shes picked up a new title just the same.

Planned Parenthood Federation of America, taken with Clintons non-stop, unwavering all courts press for abortion and birth control rights for women round the world, has decided to bestow the Champion of the Century crown upon the former first ladys head.

Quite an honor the century thing, that is. Truly, when one thinks of all the rabid pro-abortion people this nation has seen in the last 100 years, the fact that Clinton, in the eyes of Planned Parenthood, stands both above and beyond is a truly remarkable accomplishment.

Just think of her competition.

Theres Kermit Gosnell, for example, a former abortion provider so intent on upholding the rights of women he was convicted wrongfully, in his eyes of murder after several infants he was trying to abort actually emerged alive, but were then left to die. Gosnells clinic, reportedly decorated with jars of babies feet displayed by blood-stained medical equipment, helped earn him his own special dub overseer of the House of Horrors.

Maybe thats why Planned Parenthood overlooked him for this special 100-year award because he already had a title to call his own?

Who knows. Its a clue.

But lets not forget looking at the ranks of Planned Parenthoods own administrators and doctors, however. Its rife with potential award winners.

Remember the whole baby parts selling scandal that rocked the organization? Congress was called to investigate. And no wonder. Quite an operation the group had going there allegedly, of course. Here are some of the statements made by Planned Parenthoods staffers, as lifted from conversations captured by undercover Center for Medical Progress operatives.

She gave me the scissors and told me that I had to cut down the middle of the [babys] face, one voice on the video, apparently from a former Planned Parenthood staffer, said, National Review reported.

Another, explaining how best to abort a baby without destroying parts for potential sales: So then youre just kind of cognizant of where you put your graspers, you try to intentionally go above and below the thorax so that, you know, weve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so Im not gonna crush that part. Im gonna see if I can get it all intact.

Heres another award contender, again from National Review, citing the videos: The money [from body parts] is not important. But it has to be big enough that it makes it worthwhile for me I want a Lamborghini.

The common denominator of these people?

Well, they were all affiliated with Planned Parenthood they were all working on behalf of womens rights.

Clintons competition, so to speak.

But perhaps Planned Parenthood couldnt turn inward to award the Champion of the Century. There are probably rules against that conflict of interest rules and so forth.

So Hillary it is.

Shes due to receive the award in New York City on May 2 at whats being described as a once-in-a-lifetime gala, 100 years strong, Breitbart noted.

You go, girl. Grab that pro-abortion trophy and run.

I know that for a century Planned Parenthood has worked to make sure that women, men, young people who count on you can lead their best lives healthy, safe and free to follow their dreams, she said, to the group, before adding: I will always have your back.

Friends for life.

Clinton: she may have lost the White House. But shes queen of birth control. Leader of the abortion-rights movement. A true and unparalleled Champion of the Century.

Hillary Clinton Made a Surprise Appearance in Her Signature Pantsuit – Observer

Since the election, Hillary Clinton has been seriously busy. She hiked through the forest without makeup in a cozy looking fleece. She modeled shoes on Instagram for supporter Katy Perry. And she got bangs, which happens in every single movie when the main character has a major revelation.

Now,after her busy winter, Secretary Clinton hasventured out of the woods and theres no place shed rather bethan Long Island City (well, aside fromthe White House).

Clinton made an unexpected appearance in Queens this morning to support Governor Cuomos new tuition-free college plan. The audience was comprised of students in metallic backpacks, young women in work jumpsuits and plenty of youths, who seemingly wandered in to see the Governor of New York. Theywere surprised when a former presidential candidate appeared, as well.

Of course, Secretary Clinton wore her trademark pantsuit, but this stylewas certainly more playful than her days as a candidate, as it included a houndstooth jacket paired with black slacks. There was even a pair of statement earrings. Secretary Clinton also showed off thebrand new hairdo she debuted on International Womens Day;in person its much more elegant.

After opening remarks from a nursing student at LaGuardia Community College and a short video with a loudly-applauded appearance from Bernie Sanders, Governor Cuomo took the stage. He discussed growing up in Queens, announcing in his thick accent: We believed in mobility, we believed in the dream. This new legislation will make college as accessible as high school, free for any families residing in New York state that make $125,000 or below.

Im not going to name names, but I was supporting the woman in the race, the proudly feminist Governor Cuomojoked, before ushering Secretary Clinton up to the podium. After Secretary Clinton gave a brief history lesson, she told the Snapchatting crowd, The Excelsior Scholarshipis going to send a message of hope to countless familiespaying for college should not defer or deter dreams.

I believe every single child and every single young person in New York and America deserves the chance to go as far as their hard-work, their skills, their education will take them, Secretary Clinton explained. We dont need to be building walls, we need to be building bridges. And the best bridge to the future is a good education.

As she left the stage, a well dressed young man exclaimed, That was an unexpected treat, and his friend agreed. If a career creating #sponcon doesnt work out for Secretary Clinton, she could certainly consider adding inspirational speaker to her resume, or life coach. Or perhaps pantsuit designer, to pair with her new Katy Perry heels.

The Dark Side of Hillary Clinton’s Electoral Rationalizations – National Review

At this point, its safe to say that Nimrata Randhawa has a far, far better chance to be the first female president of the United States than Hillary Clinton. But heres the question: When or if Nimrata (she goes by Nikki) a conservative, Indian-American daughter of immigrants who married Michael Haley, became governor of South Carolina, and is now the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations wins a presidential election, will Hillarys friends and supporters hail Haleys ascension to the White House as a tremendous achievement for women? Will the fans of intersectional feminism laud the ultimate success of a woman of color?

Not likely. At this point, we all know the drill. There is one way and one way only for women especially black or brown women to take a true step forward, and thats through progressive politics. Identity politics works like this: Progressives do everything in their power to explicitly and unequivocally stoke race- and gender-related resentments and grievances. Any pushback against identity politics is labeled denialism at best and racism or sexism at worst. Progressive ideas are so self-evidently superior that opposition is best explained as grounded in misogyny or the always-reliable fear of change. Opposition, even from women and even from people of color, is proof of the awful and enduring power of sexism and white supremacy.

Its a poisonous ideology, its straining our national unity, and this week Hillary once again did her best to push its narrative right back in our national face. In an interview at the Women in the World summit, the New York Times Nicholas Kristof asked Clinton this:

I have to ask fundamentally, a man who bragged about sexual assault won the election and won 53 percent of the white womens vote. What does that say about the challenges that one faces in womens empowerment, that in effect misogyny won with a lot of women voters?

Clintons answer was textbook identity politics. After a quick nod to the cross currents that impact any campaign, she said:

But it is fair to say as you just did that certainly, misogyny played a role. That just has to be admitted. And why and what the underlying reasons why is what Im trying to parse out myself.

She wasnt done, not by any means. Hillary continued:

I would just say this: There is a constant struggle and not just women, women and men in a time of rapid change, like the one we are living through, between something that is different that may hold out even possible positive consequences, and something that is familiar and something that really is first and foremost about security of what you have right now. And I think in this election there was a very real struggle between what is viewed as change that is welcomed and exciting to so many Americans and change which is worrisome and threatening to so many others. And you layer on the first woman president over that, and I think some people women included had real problems.

Hillary also went on to say that Trump looks like somebodys whos been a president before.

This is a truly extraordinary statement. Lets be clear: The change that Hillary represented was nothing more and nothing less than her gender. During the campaign, she wrapped both of her arms around Barack Obama, pledged to continue all the most important elements of his cultural and political legacy, but to do it drumroll please as a woman. In this fictional universe, then, a real-estate tycoon and reality-TV star with exactly zero political experience represents the status quo mainly because hes a man.

Yet Hillary knows, Kristof knows, and everyone who has the slightest shred of intellectual integrity knows that if, say, Nikki Haley had been at the top of the ticket, she would have won the majority of white women also. She would have won the majority of white men. The alleged racist misogynists would have turned out in force for a woman of color. How do we know this? Well, they certainly did in South Carolina, a state thats hardly considered a bastion of progressive gender politics.

Heres a thought. Its revolutionary, I know, but hang with me for a moment. In the United States of America, the (R) or (D) next to a name matters far, far more to the electoral outcome in any given race than does the (M) or (F) of the candidates sex. Lets go even further (again, Im going crazy here, so be patient), and even say that the (R) or (D) matters more than the (B) or (W) of the candidates race. If Ben Carson or Tim Scott had been the nominee, wouldnt he have won a majority of the white vote and lost a majority of the black vote?

RELATED: Only Hillary Is to Blame for Her Loss

In the aftermath of the election, the Democrats are doing their own soul-searching, with many of the questions boiling down to a battle between ideas and identities. Did they lose because they nominated a bad candidate who advanced insufficiently attractive ideas? Or did they lose because, in this election cycle at least, there were just too many racists and sexists? Its understandable and human that Hillary would point the finger rather than look in the mirror, but if her side wins the argument, look for Democrats to do their dead-level best now and in the future to inflame race- and gender-based grievances. They will tell millions of Americans that the color of their skin and their gender identity should dictate their thoughts and beliefs, and that opposition isnt based on reason or logic but rather hate and fear.

Heres the thing, though that destructive narrative is so powerful that, next time, it might just win. If it does, Democrats will feel vindicated, triumphant liberal culture warriors will redouble their assault on conservative ideas and institutions, and the national fabric will continue to fray.

Democrats, ignore Hillary Clinton, for all our sakes.
