Wednesday on the Tom Joyner Morning Show, while discussing President Donald Trumps Supreme Court nominee, Judge Neil Gorsuch, left-wing activist Al Sharpton quoted a James Brown song to urge Senate Minority LeaderChuck Schumer to give the Republicans the big payback, for refusing to give Judge Merrick Garland a hearing.

Sharpton said, As I watched last night President Trump nominate Judge Gorsuch be in the Supreme Court first of all lets be clear, Gorsuch is a very conservative, go by the Founding Fathers kind of interpretation of how you deal with Constitutional law and would sit on that court and would rule in a way that would be against the interests of those of us that clearly when the Founding Fathers wrote the Constitution, was not considered full human beings and full citizens. So when you deal with the mentality and the legal profile ofJudge Gorsuch, it is not a good one. But even beyond that, let us not forget he is not sitting, and being nominated to sit in Scalias seat, hes being nominated to sit in Garlands seat. President Barack Obama nominated Judge Garland, who has got as much or more qualifications as this nominee, to have been the Supreme Court judge.

Nominated him almost a year ago, Febuary of 16 when Scalia died, he continued. They stalled, they filibustered, they would not even give a hearing to Judge Garland. It is time for the Democrats now to say since you changed the rules, youre going to have to live by the rules you applied to President Obamas nominee, and we are not going to allow you to change it and we will use those rules to block this nominee, Gorsuch. The Bible says that you sow that that same thing shall you also reap. ButBill Bellamy had a better ideathey should come in the Senate and replay The Big Payback, James Brown song. Bill was right, just take one of them old blasters, Chuck Schumer, and blast out The Big Payback. You took my judge. That aint right. Wouldnt give a hearing. You know that Im tight the big payback.

Pepe the Frog is a prominent face in the photo, which also includes Breitbart Tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos as well as politicians such as Chris Christie and Dr. Ben Carson.

In an attempt to horrify potential Clinton supporters,Elizabeth Chan, one of Clintons senior strategists wrote, that Pepe the Frog is a symbol associated with white supremacy.

Wait. Really? White supremacy?, the post continues before explaining that Pepe is a cartoon frog who began his internet life as an innocent meme enjoyed by teenagers and pop stars alike.

But in recent months, Pepes been almost entirely co-opted by the white supremacists who call themselves the alt-right. Theyve decided to take back Pepe by adding swastikas and other symbols of anti-semitism and white supremacy, it continues.

The post then uses this as an attempt to attack Trump, who retweeted a mocked up image of himself as Pepe the Frog in October last year.

Trump has retweeted his white supremacist supporters with regularity, but the connection between the alt-right and his campaigncontinues to strengthen. Now white supremacists have given Pepe the cartoon frog some Trump hairand the candidates own son says he is honored to be grouped with him, the post concludes.

Forensic sciences’ CSI portrayal a hit at Research Village | Lead … – Jamaica Gleaner

The University of the West Indies (UWI) Department of Forensic Sciences' real-life crime scene investigation, depicting forced entry through a window and subsequent rape and homicide, was, by all indications, the big pull at the Research Village on Day One of the UWI's Research Days.

The first exhibition of its kind on Research Days, scores of external and internal students, parents, and stakeholders flocked the booth to get a glimpse of the detailed portrayal.

"A crime scene like this usually takes about four hours to process. There are usually about four crime-scene examiners. Then you can have a whole team of around 12 external investigators and lab technicians as well. So it can incorporate upwards of 20 persons," 43-year-old Gregory Williams, course coordinator for Crime Scene Management and Reconstruction at the UWI, told The Gleaner.

He added: "This depicts the rape and slaying of a 20-year-old forensic science student who, possibly, had a drug problem. She was shot once in the head and once in the upper back. The team of investigators will now come in and examine all the evidence left at the scene (spent shells casings, the broken glass, hammer used to break the window, used condoms, and blood splatter) in an attempt to recreate the sequence of events and gather leads."

Williams is the head of the Forensic Sciences Department at the Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda (RPFAB).

He was recruited in 2013 by the UWI's Professor Wayne McLaughlin, deputy dean at the Department of Basic Medical Sciences, to strengthen the forensics programme. Williams was given four years' time off by the RPFAB.

Marissa Booth, 25-year-old forensic chemistry student, described the field of forensics as far-reaching.

"The field is interesting and always exciting. There are areas such as cyber forensics, forensic toxicology, forensic pathology, etc. For this particular crime scene, my role as a forensic chemistry student would entail the testing of the broken glass fragments, drug testing, gunshot residue ... taking the empty bullet casings to the lab, putting them under the microscope and looking at certain unique characteristics such as retrace marks to determine the type of gun they would have been ejected from."

A Banner Day for Leaving and Coming Closer to the European Union – Foreign Policy (blog)

British Prime Minister Theresa Mays government on Thursday published its Brexit white paper, detailing the prime ministers 12 point plan for leaving the European Union.

Meanwhile, nearly 2,600 miles from London in Tbilisi, Georgia, people celebrated hard-won approval to travel to the EU visa-free. In Georgia, the EU is still considered the destination, not something from which to escape, it seems.

Mays white paper, titled The United Kingdoms Exit from, and New Partnership with, the European Union, came a day after the U.K. House of Commons passed a bill allowing May to begin negotiations to leave the EU.

In the paper, the May government seemed to double down on the notion that leaving the globes largest trade bloc will make Britain more, not less, global.

We are a great, global nation with so much to offer Europe and so much to offer the world, it states.

Among the 12 points enumerated in the plan are providing certainty and clarity and taking control of our own laws. Also listed is controlling immigration and, specifically, the number of EU nationals coming to the UK.

Indeed, control over European migration is to be a central point in the impending negotiations. Former chancellor George Osborne said during the debate on the Brexit bill that immigration control, and not the economy, was the governments priority.

On the other end of the EU travel spectrum stands Georgia. The eastern european country spent four years working to meet tough benchmarks to get the European Parliaments blessing for its citizens to travel without visas to the EU. Among other things, it developed policies to better handle migration and to fight against corruption and organized crime. This process itself is important for our society, David Bakradze, Georgian ambassador to the United States, told Foreign Policy.

Why? Because Georgians wanted to come closer to Europe. Europe is Georgias destiny. Its our home, said Bakradze.

And what of the reality that some in Europe are looking to leave? That is the choice that is made by the British people, by the UK citizens, Bakradze said. Our choice supports the EU.
