Morning Word, 09-25-12

Another big day of New Mexico news. Election news came through with a new ad by Heinrich starting today (a positive ad that nevertheless takes subtle swipes at Republicans, including his opponent in the U.S. Senate, Heather Wilson.

Also, the state legislative races are heating up. So far, it is Reform New Mexico and other Republican groups that are making the most noise by inundating voters with negative information on Democratic voters -- those big money groups from Democrats haven't been making much of a splash yet.

With absentee voting beginning in just two weeks, candidates are running out of time to change undecided voters minds (speaking of unlikely voters, check out this SNL skit on who the undecided voters are).

The Super PACS doing the attacks are technically not associated with Martinez -- but are run by Martinez's political advisers.
