The Woodlands Children's Museum hosts the Mad Hatter Tea Party Oct. 3

The Mad Hatter Tea Party brings Alice in Wonderland to life at The Woodlands Childrens Museum.

Children are invited for child-friendly tea and to decorate their own sugar cookies with the Queen of Hearts and to laugh and chat with the Mad Hatter. The museum also has planned Alice in Wonderland art projects.

The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. , Friday, Oct. 3. The party is included in the price of admission, which is $5 for children age 2 and older.

Double P Bakery of Magnolia has generously offered to donate the cookies for the event.

Angela Colton, executive director of The Woodlands Childrens Museum, said she looks forward to the Tea Party every year.

We get to host the characters from one of the best childrens books, she said. Its a great way to encourage those budding imaginations and introduce more creative play to young minds.

After the party, Colton said children are invited to stay and play.

They can explore all of the museums current exhibits, which are carefully curated with education and enrichment in mind, she added.
