Tea Party PAC endorses Scott Brown

The Tea Party Express has officially endorsed Republican Scott Brown for U.S. Senate in New Hampshire.

The nations largest Tea Party political action committee endorsed Brown in 2010, when he ran for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts, which it called the first major victory of the Tea Party movement.

Tea Party Express Executive Director Taylor Budowich said his organization supported Brown in Massachusetts because of his commitment to oppose the Affordable Care Act.

Repealing Obamacare is part of the mission statement for the Tea Party Express, which is based in Sacramento, Calif.

Budowich echoed Browns campaign comments that U.S. Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, voted with President Obama 99 percent of the time. In announcing the endorsement, he called Brown an independent conservative would work to limit growth of the federal government.

The New Hampshire Tea Party Coalition, as a group, does not endorse any candidates.
