A Redlands Tea Party activist is calling for an investigation after accusing Colton police and the Secret Service of undemocratic and bullying behavior during a protest of Vice President Joe Bidens visit.

John Berry, California co-coordinator for the Tea Party Patriots, sent a letter to the Secret Service and Colton Police Department this week. On Nov. 1, he and others picketed outside Colton High School, where Biden rallied support for Redlands Mayor and Democratic congressional candidate Pete Aguilar.

Protesters held signs supporting Aguilars opponent, Republican Paul Chabot. Aguilar beat Chabot last month for the right to represent the 31st Congressional District.

They blocked our movement despite their willingness to let Aguilar supporters cross the street whenever and however they wanted, he wrote.

Berry accused the agencies of engaging in partisan political behavior.
