Snapchat increased its global audience by 57% over a 12-month period, according to GlobalWebIndex's fourth quarter 2014 report on trends in social media.

GlobalWebIndex ranks thefastest growing social and messaging apps amongpeopleonsmartphones and tablets around the globe, excluding China, who are between the ages of 16 and 64. The company surveys more than 40,000 Internet users across 32 markets on a quarterly basis with selection criteria designed to make the pool representative of the internet population in each country.
