After a major controversy over a poem written by a traffic cop in #39;Samvad #39; magazine over the riots at Azad Maidan in the city last year. Irony is that no one had objected the act of culprits who damaged Amar Jawan Jyoti memorial but everyone is questioning a cop for writing her expressions, why? Being a cop, she also had a #39;Freedom of Expression #39;. Look at those opposing her views; they are the same people who tarnished the Amar Jawan Jyoti memorial, molested women constables and damaged the public properties. Why so much chaos? Satyapal Singh being a sensible human and writer himself failed to understand simple things. Culprits deserve severe punishment. The poem might have written in that spirit. We don #39;t know why these so called activists try to make a simple thing a big issue? Let it be Hindu or Muslim but Amar Jawan Jyoti memorial have been attached to the sentiment of 125 crores Indians. Do these activists justify or praise the act done by the rioters? More than 15 days after a man was photographed desecrating the Amar Jawan Smarak near Azad Maidan, was identified and detained and bailed out. They not only destroyed the monument but also photographed the act and circulated on social networking sites. Where were these organizations when female cops were molested and manhandled? Are they sensitive towards one particular community only? A complaint has been filed against Inspector Sujata Patil for allegedly inciting communal hatred in her poem.
