Ex-boyfriend shares photo on web, girl's engagement cancelled

SURAT: An Udhna area resident was booked on Sunday for allegedly putting his former girlfriend's objectionable photographs on his social networking page. The photoghraphs led to breakup of the girl's engagement.

Police booked Suresh Dange, a resident of Hari Nagar in Udhna, for allegedly putting his former girlfriend's objectionable photographs on social networking. Dange intentionally shared the photos on his social media page in a way that it reached the woman's fiance, the victim alleged in her complaint. Watching the photos the girl's engagement was broken by her fiance.

Initial investigation by police revealed that Dange and the complainant used to study together in college. During their friendship they clicked their couple photographs and Danges saved those photos. Meanwhile, family of Dange came to know about the relationship. Dange's family was against his relation with the complainant and his engagement was done to other woman by the family. The complainant's parents also got her engaged with a youth from their community.

Dange was against the victim getting married to other man and to break the engagement he put his photographs with the girl on social networking site. The accused pressurised the complainat and asked her to avoid getting married. Fearing further social stigma the victim lodged the complaint.
