It must be clear about the details of how the payment should be made so that both the contractor and client will know how much will be paid, the due date of the payment, etc.
When providing the total that needs to be paid, be sure that the numbers are accurate so that the client wont over or underpay. As for the date, specific when the client has to pay for the service.
