The Singularity from Chapter 28: End Transmission is Dead by Daylight's newest killer, having been announced during the 7th-anniversary livestream alongside some other major reveals, such as the game's upcoming collab with Slipknot and Iron Maiden.

While we've only just gotten a first look at the killer and its ability during the 23rd May 2023 PTB after the major reveals last week, here's a look at the best builds for The Singularity, including what perks you should use and how to best utilize each loadout.

To pick out the best perks for The Singularity, you'll first need to understand his power and how it works so you can think about how the game's many perks may be able to complement it.

You should also learn more about The Singularity's teachable perks since they come with the killer by default and can be used together to earn Adept Singularity.

The Singularity's power is called Quantum Instantiation, which allows him to spawn Biopods around the map that he can use to attack survivors.

The in-game description reads:

A dark Crystalline structure in an ancient ruin gifted - or perhaps cursed - Hux with sentience. He build a new body, and with it, a terrifying way to bend the rules of physics to his benefit.

The Singularity can shoot and spawn Biopods around the map; these Biopods can attach to any verticle surface they land on. The Singularity can control a Biopod remotely and look through it, and tag Survivors, afflicting them with a Temporal Slipstream. When slipstreamed, The Singularity can teleport next to the Slipstreamed Survivor either by using the Biopods to tag them, or by shooting them. When a Slipstreamed Survivor is in proximity to another Survivor, the Slipstream can spread.

SPECIAL STATE OVERCLOCK MODE

After a successful Slipstream teleport, the Singularity enters Overlock Mode. In this state, walls and pallets can be destroyed faster, vaulting speed is faster and he cannot be stunned by pallets. Attempts to stun by pallet merely remove Overclock Mode and momentarily slow the Singularity.

SPECIAL INTERACTION: ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE

At the beginning of each Trial, several supply cases spawn, each containing an EMP. Survivors can use these EMPs to remove the Slipstream from themselves or others, or to briefly disable a Biopod. Once used, the EMP is destroyed.

The Singularity has a lot of map pressure thanks to its Biopods and ability to teleport. This means that it can either benefit from perks that further boost those innate strong abilities, allowing it to move around the map even faster, or use perks that make up for its weaknesses.

With so many perks available in Dead by Daylight, there is not just one build that works well on Singularity - there are many choices. Here are just a few of the best.

When you're just starting out as the Singularity, you'll want to use a build that really takes advantage of its strengths. These perks will help you maintain pressure throughout the match, as well as take down any remaining survivors at the end. All of these builds contain only general perks and perks that are unique to The Singularity, meaning you'll be able to find them in your Bloodweb without purchasing any other characters.

As the Singularity, you'll have the ability to easily pressure generators and ensure that survivors do not quickly complete them thanks to your ability to quickly move around the map. By using the perks in this build, including The Legion's Discordance and The Nemesis' Lethal Pursuer, you can easily find the survivors who are working on generators; Jolt will allow you to apply a little bit of extra regression.
