COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - U.S. Sen. Rand Paul is making a swing through South Carolina for a series of events in coordination with the state GOP.

The Kentucky Republican is speaking Tuesday morning at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. Later in the day, he appears at the College of Charleston before going to a Horry County Republican Party event in Myrtle Beach.

This week, Paul also heads to North Carolina for appearances with U.S. Senate candidate Thom Tillis and GOP Rep. Walter Jones.

South Carolina has the South's first GOP presidential primary in 2016. Paul says he has not decided whether he will seek the Republican nomination.
