Selena Gomezhas been working so hard on her film career, and it seems to be paying off early reviews of her upcoming movie Spring Breakers are stellar!

Selena, 19, stars in the racy flick, and fans were treated to an early peek of a preview at the Cannes Film Festival. The consensus? It will be amazing!

The best thing Ive seen so far in Cannes: the outdoor movie Harmony Korine, Spring Breakers, alongside Tarantino movie. Harm is back! wrote Twitter user Tom Charity.

We saw a few minutes. Struck me see Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens in such extreme scenes for the film from Korine. wrote Twitter user Diego Batlle.

The craziest movie of 2013? To be a Harmony Korine movie with theft, lesbian scenes, and punk. And James Franco with gold teeth. wrote Twitter user Filiberto Molossi.

It sounds like such an extreme role for Selena we cant wait for it to come to the big screen!

Ive had it with people and their smartphones, iPads, Kindles or whatever who are interrupting my experiences at the movies, during a play or while dining at restaurants. Im fed up with the loud conversations over cellphones on buses and trains.

The one plus to my frustration is that Im saving money. Because I cant stand to be disrupted by rude people talking, texting and playing games on their devices, Ive cut back on going out.

I cant help but think about Verizons advertising slogan, Can you hear me now?

Yes, we can all hear you, and its extremely annoying. And its surely going to get worse.

Virgin Atlantic recently announced that passengers flying between New York and London on its new Airbus A330-300 planes can make and receive phone calls while in the air. The airline said that the service is intended for use in exceptional situations and will be limited to six users at any time.

How soon will this service be expanded to other airlines like the checked-bag fee, which started with a few carriers and became a done deal for most of the industry? There will be people who will pay the premium price to talk while flying. And to be sure, fellow passengers, with no place to move, will be disturbed. As if flying isnt frustrating enough.

I dont go to the movies as often as I would like because I know Ill have to leave the feature to fetch a manager to tell some patron to shut off his or her cellphone. I refuse to spend my money for a movie that will be ruined by the glare of cellphones being constantly popped open to read and text or even make calls.

Its jarring to be sitting in a dark theater only to be jolted by a phone with a screen so bright it could be used to land an aircraft. One mans Bluetooth headpiece kept blinking a bright blue. I tried to ignore it, but every time it flashed, my head would snap in the direction of the light. When I asked the guy to remove the earpiece, he looked irritated. He glared at me when the movie was over.

I love taking the train and typically enjoy the ride. It can be so peaceful, and you dont have the stress that comes with flying. But if I dont get a seat in the quiet car that Amtrak has designated for those us who want peace, Im privy to some conversations that should only be conducted in private.

TALLAHASSEE Just back from a trade mission to Spain, Florida Gov. Rick Scott headed to the Cayman Islands on Saturday for Attorney General Pam Bondi's hush-hush wedding to her longtime fianc, Tampa ophthalmologist Greg Henderson.

Scott and his wife, Ann, were among the guests at the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman affair. Bondi, 46, Florida's first female attorney general, had been divorced.

While it was no secret that Bondi and Henderson, who is about 15 years her senior and has four grown children, intended to marry this spring, the attorney general kept mum about the details. Bondi's press secretary did not respond to questions Saturday.

But Sen. Paula Dockery, R-Lakeland, spilled the beans on her Facebook page Friday, posting a picture of Bondi captioned "The blushing bride serving punch to her friends on Cayman Air." In a previous post, Dockery said: "The plane is filled with her wedding party."

Bondi was a Hillsborough County assistant state attorney who had never run for elected office before running as a Republican in the statewide race for Florida's attorney general in 2010.

Pam Bondi, doctor wed in Cayman Islands

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi and her fiance are waiting a few more weeks to tie the knot.

Instead of a wedding ceremony Saturday afternoon in the Cayman Islands, Bondi and Tampa ophthalmologist Greg Henderson will "make it official in several weeks when all our family members can be there," Bondi said when reached at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman.

A gathering Saturday evening was a "celebration of upcoming nuptials," Bondi said, adding that she planned to wear her wedding dress at the event.

The wedding ultimately will be "small, private, and in a Baptist church soon" in the Tampa area, she added.

In the meantime, "We are thrilled to be here having the time of our lives," she said.

Bondi told the Tampa Bay Times last week that she was planning a beachfront wedding at the Ritz-Carlton. On Saturday, she declined to discuss what led to the change of plans.

Among those who joined Bondi and Henderson this weekend: Gov. Rick Scott and his wife, Ann; Hillsborough State Attorney Mark Ober; former Tampa Mayor Dick Greco and his wife, Linda; and Kim and John Kirtley. Kim Kirtley was the communications director for Bondi's campaign when she ran for attorney general.

The group also included Henderson's mother and four adult children as well as Bondi's parents and younger brother, Brad.

Bondi, 46, of Tampa, apparently tried to keep details about the trip quiet, but state Sen. Paula Dockery let the cat out of the bag in a Facebook post Thursday. Dockery, R-Lakeland, reported seeing Bondi at Tampa International Airport and being on the same flight to the islands.
