Author Thomas Sass announces ‘If You Can't Be Better than an N-Word, then Who Can You Be Better Than?’

New book challenges the racial balance of power in US

IOWA CITY, Iowa (PRWEB) December 18, 2012

If You Can't Be Better than an N-Word, then Who Can You Be Better Than? centers on Sass hypothesis that African Americans have been made into second-class citizens for ulterior motives. He suggests that U.S. culture is permeated with a divide and conquer mentality focused on subdividing groups in order to achieve absolute control. According to him, African Americans are the first target of this strategy, and other groups have been conditioned via what he calls the drug of white supremacy into feelings of superiority at the expense of African Americans.

An excerpt from If You Can't Be Better than an N-Word, then Who Can You Be Better Than?:

A doctrine permeates our national culture. This doctrine is continually programmed into us; one which espouses white supremacy, at the expense of non-whites, but Blacks, in particular. It is analogous to There but by the grace of God go I. Your good fortune could well be reinforced, but better yet, your misfortune could well be lessened because there are those whom you personally know, see, or read about, who are less well off than you.

Sass hopes the information he presents in his book gets people on the path of making positive changes in the world. I want readers to be honest with themselves and acknowledge that policies have been created, some covertly, others overtly, which have impacts upon all Americans - but especially whites and Blacks he says. But their impacts are diametrically different: positively for whites, negatively for Blacks.
