Yesterday Kids – J.Selz 2012 – Video

Yesterday Kids - J.Selz 2012
Kinetic Motion Project for my KCAI Graphic Design: Narrative // fall 2012 When this kinetic motion project was first introduced and some thoughtful considerations of what I chose to incorporate were simple shapes that helped you concentrate on what action was happening or who may be doing them to make the viewer consider why it would be important. The blocks that are placed on many of the people #39;s faces represent two ideas. First the idea of censorship of the youth and the stereotypes that follow teenaged kids, whether it #39;s what they are doing, where, or whom with. The blue and pink primarily reflect gender representation (except on the certain shapes that are not placed over faces that were to help the viewer identify the main focus, those were more of a stylistic decision). Also, it is to acknowledge the fact that while, yes the title is called "Yesterday kids" it #39;s not about them in particular. The idea behind it is to reflect on who you once use to be, are, wish you were and the people surrounding you during that time. Many people reflect on life and say, "It goes by too quickly" or perhaps that they, "Wish they were younger." This is my personal tribute to that idea, as well as it being a graphic collage that reflects my past, present, and possible future. From:Jessica SelzViews:1 0ratingsTime:02:30More inFilm Animation
