Harry Shearer - (If U Want Free Speech) Go To Russia
- Year 1990 - Lyrics: This is the sheriff of Yahoo County talking. If your selling smutty rap you better start walking. No use suing, No use Squawking. The judge says I can come in and hush ya. If you want free speech, go to Russia. Go to Russia Now right thinking people are taking a stand. We #39;re giving each other a helping hand. Wiping up the crap that #39;s spread all over this land. Your rights stop where my rights crush ya. If you want free speech, go to Russia. Go to Russia From movies to museums to record stores We #39;re drying up Americas sores A mind is a terrible thing to have when outdoors So don #39;t make me come in and cuff and cuss ya If you want free speech, better go to Russia. Better go to Russia Thank your for the bridge, Roy. Now what #39;s the good of being fresh if your not clean? I #39;m stronger than dirt, if you get my meaning Over in Russia they just abolished censorship, but hey, its just another communist trick. So you can rest assured they won #39;t get ticked off if you talk trash about your dingus to Gorbachev. Now I can #39;t do much about drugs or drunks, But I can sure force the dirty words back into hiding where they belong. Hidden Bush! So, take a nice old mean old sheriff #39;s advice, Talk nice when your in my jurisdiction. Avoid the primitive don #39;t get your head bent Forget the first amendment After all, it was written a long time ago And I just sent my only copy to Moscow. Don #39;t get me wrong, I #39;m not against rap But every little kid needs the occasional slap ...From:blacksalmonifyViews:4 1ratingsTime:03:53More inMusic

Why I #39;m No Longer a Feminist
Talking this afternoon on why I no longer refer to myself as a feminist (as of 2009 approximately) and what past involvement in the feminist movement ultimately taught me about it. The quote referenced came from Emily Bronte: "The tyrant grinds down his slaves and they don #39;t turn against him; they crush those beneath them." Erich Fromm, a 20-century German psychoanalyst, had much to say about freedom and destructiveness, spanning several books, and a short synopsis of his theories and writings can be found here: webspace.ship.edu I also referenced the Atheism+ forums as providing examples of ludicrous censorship upheld by the radical feminist community. Google it if you feel so inclined.From:ByeniaViews:6 1ratingsTime:13:28More inPeople Blogs

Follow us on TWITTER: twitter.com Like us on FACEBOOK: http://www.facebook.com The 18th Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) just began and is expected to last about a week. Media reported that Google asserts its search engine and other web services in China have been blocked in large areas. Associated Press (AP) said that the cut off started from 5 pm on November 9, Beijing time. Some of China #39;s netizens confirmed failure in unblocking CCP #39;s web censorship. And the Chinese keyword of "the 18th Party Congress" has been filtered on China #39;s search engine. The BBC has reported that Google #39;s Transparency Report showed a sharp drop in web traffic from November 9. Google services in China became inaccessible, said the BBC. GreatFire.org, Chinese web-censorship monitoring group, affirmed the news in a blog last Friday. Google #39;s search engine, email, and other internet services were all cut off in China. The AP stated that "at a politically sensitive time", "restricting access to Google #39;s search engine might make it more difficult for people in China to find information about the candidates vying to steer the ruling party." Li Yuanlong, former Guizhou Party newspaper journalist, says that anti-censorship software recently did not work. Li Yuanlong: "Neither Freegate nor UltraSurf proxy can work. Apparently, the CCP has blocked the web for the 18th Party Congress. This meeting has actually put the regime under great tension. It fears social turmoil could occur at this critical ...From:ChinaForbiddenNewsViews:60 3ratingsTime:03:25More inNews Politics
