MOLOGEN AG: Treatment phase of safety trial with MGN1703 in the U.S. completed
Berlin, December 9, 2013 - The treatment phase of the clinical trial phase I for MGN1703 in the U.S. was finished according to plan. In terms of safety and tolerability no significant clinical events were observed to date. The study will be completed on schedule until year-end. MOLOGEN expects that first results will become available in early 2014.
The placebo-controlled, double-blind study evaluates the cardiac and general safety as well as pharmacodynamics of MGN1703 in healthy volunteers. The trial will add to the already comprehensive data package on tolerability and mechanism of action and forms the basis for the further development of MGN1703 in the U.S. until market approval.
MGN1703 has already successfully completed a phase II study in metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) in Europe. MOLOGEN is currently preparing a pivotal study in mCRC. In addition a randomized controlled trial to assess the efficacy of MGN1703 in small cell lung cancer has already been applied for to extend the scope of MGN1703.
About MGN1703 MGN1703 is based on dSLIM(R) ('double Stem Loop Immunomodulator'), an innovative DNA-based TLR9 agonist developed by MOLOGEN. dSLIM(R) activates the immune system against tumor-associated antigens by targeting various receptors on certain immune cells, primarily TLR9. Tumor-associated antigens (TAA) are released by cancer cells as a result of chemotherapy and radiation therapy. Once activated by dSLIM(R), the immune system is able to overcome its fatal tolerance toward cancer cells and TAA and attacks them selectively. Due to this mechanism of action, MGN1703 can be applied to different indications of cancer.
About MOLOGEN AG MOLOGEN AG is a publicly listed biotechnology company headquartered in Berlin and specializes in the research and clinical development of innovative drugs in the fields of oncology and infectious diseases. One of the company's most important product candidates is the DNA immunomodulator MGN1703, which is being clinically developed for colorectal cancer and lung cancer. The cell-based cancer therapy MGN1601 for the treatment of renal cancer is also currently at the stage of clinical development. With unique, patented technologies and innovative product developments, MOLOGEN is one of the leading biotechnology companies in the fields of DNA medicine and cell-based therapies. MOLOGEN AG shares (ISIN DE0006637200) are listed in the Prime Standard of the German Stock Exchange.

Schramberg/Gerlingen, December 9, 2013 - Elekonta Marek GmbH & Co. KG and Schweizer Electronic AG have concluded an agreement on a cooperation in the prototype segment for innovative Printed Circuit Board (PCB) solutions.
The increasing trend towards high tech and innovative products in the European PCB market forms the basis of this collaboration. It is a constant challenge for suppliers to provide customers with adequate technology samples in high quality which are suitable for subsequent serial production.
Via the cooperation with SCHWEIZER, Elekonta, a company focussing on prototype manufacturing of PCBs, expands its service for existing customers. Following the successful execution of prototypes, these customers will then have the option of having SCHWEIZER produce mid-size and high-volume series. SCHWEIZER's customers, on the other hand, will be offered a second source for the production of samples via Elekonta.
In their collaboration and for the benefit of their customers, the partners will concentrate on the area of new technologies, the related exchange of trends and the multiplying factor connected to it. Initially, Elekonta and SCHWEIZER will focus on HDI, thick copper, HF and impedance-controlled PCBs.
'The new partnership will ensure that technology samples can later on be produced in adequate quality and reliability in high volumes' says Christian Rssle, Vice President Sales & Marketing at SCHWEIZER.
And Lars Presche, Managing Director with Elekonta Marek, adds: 'Via this cooperation we would like to generate for our customers an additional value-add in the product life cycle and to counter the continuously growing trade business'.

Nordex awarded follow-up contract by ESB International
Manufacturer will be installing 20-MW wind farm in Ireland
Hamburg 9 December 2013. The Nordex Group has received a further order from its Irish customer ESB International, Dublin. In the follow-up 'Woodhouse' project, Nordex will be installing a 20-MW wind farm comprising five N100/2500 and three N90/2500 turbines. As a result, Nordex will be covering the local strong to mid wind conditions to optimum effect. Also included is a five-year premium service contract.
To date, Nordex has constructed a total of four wind farms for ESB in the north and south of Ireland with a combined capacity of 67.5 MW. The 'Woodhouse' project is located in the south east of the island close to the town of Dungarvan and is to be built in autumn 2014.
Since 2002, Nordex has installed a total of 138 turbines in Ireland with a capacity of 340 MW. 'This marks a very encouraging continuation of our performance in this country and vindicates our strategy of working closely with our local customers,' says Nordex Management Board member Lars Bondo Krogsgaard. With the projects currently under construction, Nordex will be boosting its total installed capacity in Ireland to over 500 MW.
About Nordex As one of the technological leaders in multi-megawatt wind power systems, Nordex is benefiting from the trend in favour of large-scale turbines. The Generation Gamma range comprises the N90/2500, N100/2500 and the N117/2400, which is one of the most efficient series turbines for non-coastal regions. To date, over 2,600 of these turbines have been produced. This experience with multi-megawatt turbines gives Nordex a decisive lead over most of its competitors. With Generation Delta, Nordex is now offering the fourth generation of its proven multi-megawatt platform (N100/3300, N117/3000, N131/3000). Nordex has installed a total of over 5,600 turbines with an aggregate capacity of around 9,400 MW all around the world. PRESS RELEASE: New software version USU Valuemation for IT service management available
DGAP-News: USU Software AG / Key word(s): Product Launch New software version USU Valuemation for IT service management available
09.12.2013 / 10:00
=--------------------------------------------------------------------
Mglingen, December 9, 2013.
The software house USU is now shipping the new Release 4.4 of its USU Valuemation product suite. It comprises many new features that make everyday work easier for IT organizations and their customers. The new version allows USU Valuemation to be used with mobile devices, for example during service callouts, or for process automation and handling tailored to requirements. Preconfigured processes complying with the BPMN standard enable now mass rollout or relocation of systems at a click. In addition, a message function means users groups can be supplied selectively with information, for example on a current major incident or an upcoming maintenance window. New wizards mean customer-specific adaptations are easier to implement and so speed up productive launch. USU Valuemation is an ITIL(R)-compliant, widely established standard software package. The various modules support all phases of the lifecycle in IT service management.
Mobile use of ticket and asset information For the first time, USU Valuemation 4.4 offers a mobile client for its users. Thanks to HTML5 technology, it is independent of the smartphone or tablet operating system used. It enables searching for assets or tickets or handling or resolution of incidents, for example.
Automated, simpler work processes Whether relocating systems, installing or deinstalling software or budget planning - the new release makes everyday work simpler in many places in business process management. On the basis of the BPMN standard, the use of preconfigured processes enables automated handling of workflows. Users can delegate tasks or change the person dealing with them flexibly with the Valuemation Business Process Manager.
Administering and displaying messages USU Valuemation Release 4.4 also allows messages to be defined and displayed. As a result, information on new features, changes or outages can be created, administered and issued to dedicated user groups. That ensures rapid, effective communication, for example in the event of major incidents or a release change.
Quick customizing New wizards ensure that customizing is far easier with Valuemation 4.4. The system helps customizers create relations and calculations, for instance. However, the installation process is also sped up noticeably by a wizard-aided installer that helps in installing the rich client and database, as well as in configuring web server files.
