Happy Anniversary to Rising Social Networking Site MyShindigs.com

Worldwide support pours in and celebration continues for rising social networking website MyShindigs.com as the 1 year anniversary of its global launch rolls around this February. With the flourishing event sites membership into the thousands, the website and its members can all raise a glass to a job well done.

Boston, MA (PRWEB) January 22, 2013

During its freshman year, MyShindigs has continued to add many new and innovative features that meets the needs of its members including a Facebook app that allows members friends (on Facebook) to know that an event has been created in MyShindigs.com. Not only membership but the features and tools on the site are entirely free. While we are happy with the success achieved to date, our main focus is continuing to take on as many new members as possible and continue to improve the on-site features that enable better events and parties add Jason and Matthew.

The MyShindigs model is a challenging one for other event management software companies to overcome in the sense that as mentioned the on-site event creation and promotion features are all free. Dot com sites that charge licensing fees for SAS type models also have increased competition from the robust MyShindigs website. Members of MyShindigs are able to register, create events, invite an unlimited number of members, record attendance to parties and events, add photos and videos, promote to other site members, publish public events to Google and much more. The site is relevant and useful to individuals, entrepreneurs, companies, event organizers, promoters, charities, levels of government and so forth.

Signup onto the site was slow at first, but in the past few months membership has rapidly increased to over a thousand members per month. Although the site remains independent and has not yet taken advantage of commercializing site traffic; there is a tremendous opportunity for the current owners or any potential future ownership group to do so, especially if the rumors of sale or outside investment prove to be true.

Year two will be an intriguing one as the refreshing social media website continues to grow and mature as a leading platform in the events creation, management and promotion space. One can only expect that the best is yet to come, and that the next generation of social networking is in good hands with sites such as MyShindigs.

On Google's big earnings day, Google+ notable as a no-show

Social networking wasn't top of mind today -- either with the Wall Street crowd or with management -- as Google dug into its Q4 earnings numbers.

Considering the raging debate over the true performance of Google+, you might have figured Google's management would have carved out at least a couple of minutes to tout its social network during the company's Q4 2012 conference call. Especially in the aftermath of Facebook's recent debut of Graph Search.

And you would have been wrong.

Social networking wasn't on the agenda today as a talking point as management spent more than an hour yakking about nearly every aspect of the company's business -- with the exception of Google+.

In the past year, there's been no shortage of commentary about Google+. A study published last May by RJ Metrics caused a stir when it said that data from a sample of 40,000 public Google+ accounts revealed weak user engagement and minimal social activity. (Among the paper's conclusions: 30% of users who make public posts on Google+ never make a second one; among users making publicly-viewable posts, there was an average of 12 days between each post; etc.)

Google has countered the criticisms as missing the mark, touting the fast growth of the service as well as its accelerating momentum, including 500 million people with profiles, 235 million people using at least one of its features (like +1ing a Web page), and 135 million visiting plus.google.com monthly.

We've contacted Google for comment and will update this post when we have further information.

Pure Web Launches New Social Networking Site the Jewgle

Jewish social networking site the Jewgle chooses Pure Web for web hosting and web development.

Marietta, GA (PRWEB) January 23, 2013

My idea for the Jewgle came from necessity really, I mean there are several social networking sites that the entire world uses, like Facebook, Google +, and LinkedIn but there really wasnt anything like I wanted to do and just creating a page or group wasnt what I wanted. I needed to be able to create a ground up community for my members. I wanted something that could be serious where it needed to be but funny as well. I wanted to create a place where all members can interact with one another and foster deeper connections that will in turn strengthen the Jewish community as a whole., says Lyle Richardson creator of the Jewgle.

The Jewgle has all the standard features users will recognize from other social networking sites. Upon membership into the Jewgle community members can post news updates, post pictures and videos, create groups, and search out other members for deeper relationships. The system is also fully integrated with Facebook and other sites such as Google, LinkedIn, and Twitter allowing for seamless posting and sharing back to profiles on each.

Pure Webs work with other ground up social sites in the past gave them the insight to know what features were needed. Pure Web is also very cost conscious and understands the tight budgetary requirements new businesses have. Having Pure Web brings more than just a development partner; it brings extensive knowledge in web based business operations.

About Lyle Richardson

In all of the years that I have been networking, both in person and on the internet, I have noticed one common theme. As soon as a person finds out that I am a Jew, that person either tries to help me because he or she is Jewish, or instinctively he/she introduces me to somebody in his/her field that is in fact Jewish, and the Jewish person helps me out. I am likely not the first Jew to whom this has happened.

When I attended graduate school at Northeastern University in Boston, my first night in a new city was spent with a lovely Jewish Boston University coed whom was introduced to me by my mother and her aunt. They set it up, as they say. The girl that I was introduced to and I are still friends to this day. We were introduced for the sole reason that Jewish women love setting up their young relatives with Jews of the opposite sex. This is a function of the Jewish community that is not openly practiced on the internet, but it should be. And now with the Jewgle... these things are regular functions of the network. I hope that my mother can use this site to organize a good mahjong game. If that gets accomplished in this process, I will have felt like the Jewgle is a great success.

About the Jewgle

Making a profile is free and takes less than 5 minutes to do. Once you opt into the network you are able to network at will. As more and more people join, the platform becomes more and more powerful. Be sure to tell all of your Jewish acquaintances about the Jewgle. It is important for the chosen people of the internet. For more information please visit http://www.thejewgle.com.
