A lot of visitors to the Balearic Islands unsurprisingly are in the twenties age group and finding budget ways to stay on the islands of Ibiza is popular. There are a number of cheap ways to stay in Ibiza with options including Ibiza youth hostels, camping and shared hotel rooms i.e. where 3 or 4 people share a room. Going as a group can often mean that a hotel stay ends up as cheap as other budget accommodations. Camping is certainly one option and below are some of the best options.
Camping Cala Nova Camping Cala Nova has been open since 1984 and is a friendly and peaceful camp site situated in the Cala Nova part of the island, 50 metres away from the regions beautiful beaches. The site has 125 plots with accommodation ranging from wood cabins and bungalows, to traditional canvas tent plots.
Camping San Antonio The Camping San Antonio site is located just 200 metres away from Antonio Bay itself. However due to the design of the site and extensive vegetation makes the area a tranquil oasis in comparison to the local party atmosphere. There are a number of bungalows available with a swimming pool, barbeque facilities and a short distance from a supermarket.
Cala Bassa The campsite and bungalows Cala Bassa is located just 250 metres from the Cala Bassa beach on the island of Ibiza. There are plots for caravans and tents available as well as mobile homes and bungalows available for those who want a little more luxury. There are a lot of open spaces to enjoy the sun as well as forest areas to walk through.
Having a beach so close is a real selling point of this camp site.
Camping la Playa The Camping la playa site is situated in a terrific location, with stunning views over the bay on to the sea. The campsite is ideal for those looking for a bit of peace and quiet and to relax in the sun, and also has their own private direct entrance to the beach, as well as a number of woodland walks.
Camping Bungalows Vacaciones es Canar This is a first class camping site near to the centre of Es Canar, with good amenities and a swimming pool. There is also the unique option to stay in Native American style tipis. This is a friendly location with staff who always tend to go out of their way to help you.

For the first in our series of Ibiza Hotel of the Week, we will be taking a look at the ever-popular and lively Jet Complex of apartments in Playa d'en Bossa.
There are many reasons why the Jet remains one of the most sought-after complexes in Ibiza year after yearnone more so, perhaps, than its fantastic location. Stepping out of the door, you find yourself literally on the palm-lined, sandy beach of Playa d'en Bossa. And at only 4 km from the airport, your holiday can begin almost as soon as you touch down!
Particularly favoured by young people and groups of friends, the Jet apartments are the perfect base if you are looking to enjoy Ibiza's famous nightlife, with Bora Bora Beach, Space and Ushuaia nightclubs only a short walk away. The disco bus, which runs all through the night, will take you from Playa d'en Bossa into Ibiza Town and to all the other top clubs, if you are wanting a night out further afield.
Getting around through the day couldn't be easier, with a regular bus service to Ibiza Town and other major resorts, or perhaps take one of the mini ferries - a relaxing and economical way to travel around the island.

Ibiza Hotel of the Week - Jet Complex, Playa d'en Bossa
For this week's Beach of the Week, we head to the north of Ibiza to the beautiful bay of Cala Xarraca.
Situated 3.5 kilometres from Portinatx, in between S'illot d'es Rencli and the mountain of Puig de Sa Xarraca, Cala Xarraca is best reached by car due to its steep access road, although it is also possible to travel there by bus.
At only 90 metres long and 15 metres wide, this is one of the most isolated bays in Ibiza, boasting the most magnificent of views. It is surrounded by lush green pine forests dotted with white houses, rugged red cliffs and rocky pathways which make it ideal for adventure walks and exploring.
The unusual dark sand contrasts perfectly with the natural surroundings and the clear aquamarine waters. The rocky coastline of Cala Xarraca makes it a perfect place for snorkelling, and it remains a firm favourite with photographers.
Cala Xarraca is divided into three areas; the middle is the busiest and most popular, with the two smaller areas to either side being more secluded and tending to attract nudists.
A unique feature of Cala Xarraca is its natural mud bath, which can be found to the left of the bay. This is said to have healing properties for the body, and has been known to soothe tired skin.
If you are looking for peace, tranquility and total relaxation away from busier resorts of Ibiza, Cala Xarraca is the perfect tonic. There is only restaurant, aptly named the Cala Xarraca, which has been run by the Tur family for over thirty years, and offers a variety of excellent food. Specialties include fresh fish and rice dishes.
