Even Ann Coulter is turning on Donald Trump – A.V. Club

Its mean and low to make fun of peoples appearances, but when that person is Ann without fat girls, there would be no protests Coulter, were willing to make an exception, if only for paritys sake. On that note, if you ever wanted to know what it would look like to watch a skeleton wrestle a baby pig, just hang tight, because even Ann Coulter is finding it difficult to defend Donald Trump these days. She said as much in a new interview with conservative site The Daily Caller, where Coulter, who once said that she worships Trump like the people of North Korea worship their Dear Leader, said, this isnt North Korea, and if he doesnt keep his promises Im out.

Coulter, whose latest book is called In Trump We Trust, said shes not very happy with what has happened so far in the Trump administration, which is weird because I really think in his heart hes a genuine patriot. But its just that it has been such a disaster so far. Shes not mad at Trump for the same reasons half of registered voters presumably are, thoughCoulter, who is a proud single issue voter on the single issue of racism towards Mexican people, is pissed that Donny and the gang arent making enough progress on building the wall they promised. She also disapproves of Trump involving his children in government affairs, calling it the one fascist thing hes done.

So yeah, the enemy of my enemy is still Ann fucking Coulter. But hearing her say that I think all of the Trump true believers are petrified and that if he cant turn things around, maybe the Trump-haters were right is a uniquely satisfying experience. Savor it, before Trump tweets some crazy shit about China and the fear of nuclear annihilation takes over our collective consciousness once more.

Trump-shunning Ann Coulter embraced by most hardcore of liberal … – TheBlaze.com

Samantha Bee, liberal TV host of TBS Full Frontal, addressed Ann Coulters recent articles decrying President Donald Trumps perceived failures to win, and figuratively patted Coulter on the back for her apparently changed mind toward the president.

Shes been wrong about a lot of things, Bee told reporters at the Turner Upfront presentation on Wednesday about Coulters recent spate of interviews and blog posts eviscerating the president . I think its nice to have a little self-awareness every once in a while.

Good for her! Bee added.

Coulter, one of Trumps biggest supporters during the 2016 presidential election, has been changing her tune as of late.

In an early May blog post, Coulter called the president comically improbable and slammed him for his lack of winning.

Blasting him for her perception of over-promising and under-delivering, Coulter shamed the commander-in-chief for seeming to back off of many of his campaign tent poles, such as the Mexico-U.S. border wall.

Not only is there no funding for a wall, she wrote, but thanks to the deft negotiating skills of House Speaker Paul Ryan the bill actually prohibits money from being spent on a wall.

The deal was that we were getting the Hollywood version of a New York businessman, Coulter wrote. An uncouth, incurious rube who would be ruthless in getting whatever he wanted.

We want the ruthless businessman we were promised, Coulter demanded.

During a Monday interview with The Daily Caller, Coulter hit below the belt again, and said that she was ready to jump ship on President Trump.

Discussing Trumps first 100 days, Coulter said, Im not very happy with what has happened so far. I guess we have to try to push him to keep his promises. But this isnt North Korea, and if he doesnt keep his promises Im out. This is why we voted for him. I think everyone who voted for him knew his personality was grotesque, it was the issues.

I think all of the Trump true believers are petrified, Coulter concluded her interview.

Ann Coulter Admits Her Disappointment With Trump To The Daily … – GOOD Magazine

Over his first 115 days in office, Donald Trump managedone historical achievement: At this point in his first term, hes the least popular president since pollsters began keeping track in 1953. According to Gallup, Trump has a 38 percent approval rating, and although he enjoys high numbers with Republicans (84 percent), support from independents has dropped 10 percent over the past month to just 29 percent.

This historically poor performance has led many to question: When will prominent Republicans hopoff the Trump Train?

Last Sunday, author Ann Coulter told the right-wing The Daily Caller thatshe may be turning away from Trump. Its a big announcement from a woman whose love for his xenophobia onceearned himblind loyalty. In the interview, the In Trump We Trustauthor said she always knew that Trump had a grotesque personality, but stuck by him for the issues.

Coulter also revealed that Trump hasnt shown any of the negotiation skills he bragged about on the campaign trail. Where is the great negotiation? she asked. Where is the bull in the china shop we wanted? That budget the Republicans pushed through was like a practical joke Did we win anything? She also expressed concern with Trumps decision to give hisdaughter and son-in-law major roles in the administration. I have from the beginning been opposed to Trump hiring any of his relatives. Coulter said. Americans dont like that.I dont like that. Thats the one fascist thing hes done. Hiring his kids.

Although Coulters misgivings may signal a major shift in her partys support for the president, her criticisms come from a troubling place. In The Daily Callerinterview she expressed frustration over Trumps inability to build a wall on the Mexico border and still pledged allegiance to his jingoistic ideology. Trump was our last shot, Coulter said. I kind of thought it was Romney, and then, lo and behold, like a miracle Trump comes along. I still believe in Trumpism. I have no regrets for ferociously supporting him.
