Germany, together with its partners, will continue to support Ukraine in all possible ways.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said this at a joint press conference with his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau in Montreal on Monday, August 22, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Our central task is to do everything to support Ukraine. We did that by supplying weapons, providing funds, working together with partners in the G7, as well as with the help of very specific assistance. [...] We understand the possibility of further escalation, so we make an important promise: we will continue to support Ukraine with further supplies of weapons," Scholz said.

He said that German weapons and the latest systems are very effective and often "change the situation in the war in the east and help Ukrainians defend themselves from the air."

The chancellor said that Germany and Canada are determined to continue supporting Ukraine in its defense of sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also emphasized the willingness of both states and partners in the G7 and the EU to do everything to restore and rebuild the country. According to the politician, such assistance is being provided even now, when the war is ongoing. He also announced plans to hold in Germany a joint conference with the EU on the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Scholz recalled that the country has taken in more than 900,000 Ukrainian refugees, and 150,000 Ukrainian schoolchildren can get an education in Germany. This is also a big help, he said.

Scholz noted that, together with his Canadian colleague, he will take part in the second summit of the Crimea Platform, which will be held on the Europe-wide Day of Remembrance for the Victims of All Totalitarian and Authoritarian Regimes.

He said Russia must realize that the war it started would not go unpunished, and called the sanctions introduced against the Russian Federation unprecedented, as they will slow the development of the Russian economy, because it will be cut off from high technologies and financial resources of world markets.

At the same time, Scholz stated that Russia is trying to split the international community. In this regard, he thanked Canada for agreeing to hand over a Russian turbine to Germany and thwarting Putin's plans. "Russia is not a reliable business partner. It has cut gas supplies to Europe, and at the moment it is important for us not to fall into Putin's net and to stick together," the chancellor said.

Where I live (and probably where you live), if you wandered outside and looked around at restaurants, bars, shopping centers, airplanes, airports, municipal buildings, movie theaters, universities, schools, office buildings, and heck, even medical offices, you'd never know COVID is still a 'thing,' despite the fact that official case counts hover around 100,000 cases in the US per day and deaths are consistently around 500 a day, according to the New York Times.

The situation is even worse in reality, though, as many epidemiologists assert that official cases are vastly undercounted, and state that actual numbers of cases might be up to thirty times higher than officially reported. And maybe you're willing to accept that 500 deaths a day is just "the new normal." Death isn't the only bad outcome, howeverexperts assert that as many as 1 in 5 people who had COVID develop "long COVID," which can be debilitating for months or years.

If you still care about COVID and wonder why the entire country seems to be being gaslit by the folks running the public health system, here's an interesting analysis that helps explain what happened. Journalist Walker Bragman recently posted a link on Twitter to an "action guide" on "stopping medical mandates," created by the "Action" arm of the Tea Party Patriots. The mission of "Tea Party Patriots Action" is:

to equip Americans with the resources and training they need to be engaged citizens and effective activists. Our vision is for a nation where individual liberty is cherished and maximized, where the Constitution is revered and upheld, and where Americans are free to pursue their American Dream.

They have three main platforms, including "personal freedom," "economic freedom," and "debt free future," as well as a whole host of topics about which they produce action guides, including "National debt, Healthcare, Tax reform, Big government, Immigration, First Amendment rights, and Second Amendment rights." The guide that Walker Bragman is referring to was published in Summer 2021 and is called "I do not consent: Stop UnAmerican Medical Mandates, A How-To Guide for the American People." It includes guidance about how to "Host a Sign-Waving Event," along with sample slogans to put on signs such as:

Tyrants never let a crisis go to waste! They're using Covid to control you!

Let our kids BREATHE! No more mandates!

No more Covid fear mongering! We are FREE AMERICANS!

Don't let the panic porn manipulate you into giving up your rights!

The guide also includes information about how to "Organize Parents & Concerned Citizens," and how to "Make Some Calls" (including scripts) to federal elected officials, governors, state legislators, and more. The guide ends with a request for donations, naturally.

Bragman asserts that this Tea Party activist work helps explains how we got to our current state of affairs regarding COVID. Along with the link to the guide, he tweeted, "Big money has poisoned our national discourse around COVID. This guide was published last summer by the billionaire-funded dark money group Tea Party Patriots Action to help people defeat public health measures like mask requirements." It's probably not the entire reason we've gotten to the point of being told to just 'live with the virus' while cases and deaths rage on, but it's certainly part of the story.

Marquee Republicans like Senator Marco Rubio, Attorney General Ashley Moody, and Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronishave stamped their seal of approval on Bean.

He alsoboasts endorsements fromJacksonville Mayor Lenny Curry, State Reps. Wyman Duggan and Clay Yarborough, Jacksonville Sheriff Pat Ivey,former SheriffMike Williams,Public Defender Charlie Cofer, Duval County Clerk of Courts Jody Phillips, Duval Property Appraiser Jerry Hollandand former state Reps.Lake RayandJay Fant,as well as a host of other local leaders.

Bean, the current President Pro Tempore, represents Senate District 4, which includes Nassau County and parts of Duval County. He was elected to the Florida Senate in 2012 after serving in the House from 2000 to 2008.

Bean officially launched his campaign for CD 4in June. His opposition for the Republican nomination is Navy veteranErick Aguilarand John Chuba.

CD 4, a redrawn district, encompasses all of Clay and Nassau counties, as well as part of Duval County.

The Tea Party Patriots, led by co-founder Jenny Beth Martin, after the 2020 presidential election began election improvement efforts and coordinated with other organizations to implement training programs to ensure a higher level of election integrity throughout the United States.

The goal of their training, which has had over 6,000 participants, is to have citizens exercising their legal rights under their state law to make sure that there is a check and balance on the election system, Martin told Epoch TVs Facts Matterduring a recent interview.

Their efforts are focused on Georgia, Arizona, Nevada, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michiganthe states that had the most problems counting ballots during the 2020 elections. Certain counties in these states had questionable election processes during the presidential election and revealed gaps in election integrity.

The Tea Party Patriot election integrity training was developed by Cleta Mitchell, who is an attorney and the senior legal fellow at the Conservative Partnership Institute (CPI) and chairs the CPIs Election Integrity Network.

Martin said that the 2020 election taught conservatives that being a poll worker wasnt enough, so in response, the training includes, getting to know the people in your election board and showing up and watching the decisions that they are making before elections ever happen.

The organizations ultimate goal is to build a permanent election integrity infrastructure.

The training teaches participants how to improve local election infrastructure by researching the contracts and understanding the processes for election boards, understanding how absentee ballots work making sure theyre processed properly when theyre returned, understanding the election system, which includes the paper and also the computers and being present for logic and accuracy testing, said Martin.

She said that Georgia is well organized between its own local integrity efforts and her group, which has been able to get tangible results in improving election integrity. More integrity was brought to a local Democrat county commissioner race, where the candidate was able to get a recount that resulted in her winning the race.

The election board [including] Democrats and Republicans all helped out and made sure that they helped get the outcome of this election, right. They did a hand count of that election, and instead of coming in third place, which is what the machine count showed, she actually was the first place finisher, went on to the runoff, and is now the nominee for the Democrat side, said Martin.

The mainstream media has maligned the efforts of the Conservative Partnership Institute and Martins group, accusing them of siding with former President Donald Trumps narrative about a stolen election.

Martin said she cant control how the mainstream media chooses to portray their work, but what I can do is make sure we at least understand the laws and what we are able to choose, safeguard, and correct [election processes] and that we are the check and balance that the state law actually has in the statute.
