3 Fool-Proof Ways To HACK Disney World Wait Times – AllEars.Net

Oh, Disney World. We love you, but sometimes you are straight-up frustrating.

And nothing grinds our gears like wasting time in long lines that could have been avoided if you know what youre doing. Sure, you can cough up some extra dough to skip the lines with Genie+, but there are other ways to avoid those lines without spending a dime and were telling you how.

We wont sugarcoat it sometimes, those Disney World wait times can be utterly devastating. Spending precious time waiting in line when there is so much to do can be discouraging so what are you supposed to do? Have no fear because weve been through it all and know just how to help.

Of course, you can use Genie+ or Individual Lightning Lanes paid ways to skip the standby lines at a majority of rides in the parks. But, Disney World is expensive enough already, and if you dont want to spend the money to avoid the lines there are still ways you can!

First, consider planning your trip over as many weekdays as possible. Generally speaking, weekdays are less crowded than weekends and thus have lower wait times. You can also try to plan your trips during certain times of the year. Skip summer, holidays, long weekends, spring break, and other times when kids are likely to be out of school and folks are on vacation.

Another tip we always recommend is skipping parades and fireworks to go on popular rides instead. We know, we know, how could we say this? But, if parades and fireworks dont matter to you or youve seen them before, this can be a great time to practically walk on to your favorite rides with little to no waits.

Now that youve got our best tips in your back pocket, lets check out Disney World wait times from September 28th, 2023.

BRUGGER: Watching the congressional circus – Times-News

Will anyone take my bet that during the next election season, the presidential and congressional candidates will talk about how much or too much the current administration will spend or has spent?

How about this one? Every incumbent candidate will be accused of supporting or not paying for programs popular with their voters.

Suppose most news you consume is television or popular internet media. How easy will it be to find accurate figures about where your tax money and the money the government will borrow in your name is being spent? Do you care, or have you given up caring because you think government is self-serving anyway?

Why would it be essential to start an impeachment inquiry about President Joe Biden in the short month Congress has to pass appropriations bills before the next fiscal year? Dont they have a lot to do to make sure the country runs efficiently?

National headlines and even less prominent articles in newspapers and magazines read by residents of all the land between the coasts (except a few large cities) have not covered the substance of budget hearings. The authorization to spend money for all the responsibilities of the federal government is Job One, but its not being done.

The last time all government managers knew how much they could spend in the next fiscal year was in 1996! Appropriation bills have only been passed on time five times since the end of the fiscal year was extended by three months in 1976, going into effect in 1977.

Any private enterprise that could not fund its planned new initiatives would go bankrupt. If a company cannot move forward, it dies. I would not invest in a company with the money-management skills of the U.S. Congress. That is why two credit rating companies have issued rating downgrades. Our economy is robust, but our government has signs of instability.

No doubt, government managers will receive money via continuing resolutions. Then ... Congress will pass an omnibus spending bill that will quietly feed pet projects and partisan interests while holding all government spending to a growth rate lower than inflation. Or, there will be an attempt to pass appropriations individually and defund the Department of Education if Trump doesnt get the chance to do it.

Opinions will flood the media. They will all point to the lack of proper governance but rarely to the strategic objective of a decades-long attempt to starve the beast of expensive government. Voters consider their economic well-being before the needs of the common. They ignore President John F. Kennedys exhortation to, Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.

The truth is voters expect a lot from their various forms of government, but they want the expense to come out of someone elses pocket.

The Tea Party latched onto the idea, making it hard for the government to raise revenue. We have had almost 50 years of budget chaos running parallel to the effects of reducing revenue to curtail federal government interference. The strategy also starves state and local governments. The actual harm is the lack of transparent and easily accessed budgets and dollar amounts spent linked to specific programs in specific agencies of specific Cabinet-level departments. The voters cant see that the services they want are underfunded.

The impeachment investigation is a way to plan newsworthy events and plant stories picked up by media outlets that distract us from paying attention to government funding. The Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, proposed the first temporary spending bill in mid-September to restrain public outcries over a possible government shutdown while still leaving that possibility on the table for his more radical colleagues.

Yep, the voter must remain in the dark and be urged to blame the current administration for the impasse. Its even better when the government is shut down. The situation becomes painful, and an autocracy run by the party that promises better days becomes desirable. However, like any business run without financial oversight, the guys at the top will take the money and run.

Its a circus and mirrors, making it complicated for the voters. Because ...

Right-wing ‘constitutional sheriffs’ movement comes to Minnesota – Minnesota Reformer

An extremist, anti-government group that believes sheriffs and police officers have the power to decide which laws to enforce is touring Minnesota next month.

The Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association has nine Minnesota events planned in October. Theyll be led by Sheriff Richard Mack, a former Arizona sheriff who is also a founder of an extremist group that played a role in the Jan. 6 insurrection.

Mack gained notoriety after he was part of a lawsuit that successfully overturned a provision of the Brady Law in the 1990s.

Since then, Mack founded the constitutional sheriffs group and has traveled the country, recruiting law enforcement officers particularly sheriffs and deputies to join his movement. Their central tenet, according to a report from the Anti-Defamation League, is that the county sheriff is the ultimate legal authority and can refuse to enforce any law they consider unconstitutional. This idea has no basis in law and aligns with so-calledsovereign citizens , an anti-government extremist movement that believes they are sovereign from the U.S.

Mack will speak in Le Center, Freeport, Brownton, Champlin, Princeton, Deerwood, Rochester, La Crescent and Blaine, as first reported by the Minnesota news and opinion outlet Bluestem Prairie. Mack did not respond to a request for comment.

The Blaine event is sponsored by the local Republican Party outfit representing outer-ring suburbs northwest of the Twin Cities.

The event in Champlin is being hosted by the Liberty Tea Party Patriots, which hosted an event in 2022 featuring Marty Probst, the husband of the GOP candidate for secretary of state. Probst called on Kim Crocketts supporters to urge law enforcement to intervene on Election Day, even though the law generally forbids it.

If youve got friends or family or whatever in sheriffs deputies or sheriffs we need them on Election Day, Probst said. Thats part of the SWAT team to get out when certain places dont follow the rules that theyre supposed to.

Minnesota law bans police officers from being within 50 feet of polling places except to vote or if theyre summoned by an election judge.

Mendota Heights Police Chief Kelly McCarthy, former chair of the state police licensing board, received an email inviting her to attend one of Macks events from a group called Sterling and Time Defense, which trains people on firearms and use-of-force laws and advertises itself as certified by the state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and Department of Public Safety.

I have no idea who any of these nut jobs are, other than they dont understand why we have three branches of government, McCarthy said.

James Stuart, executive director of the Minnesota Sheriffs Association, said his organization sometimes gets questions from members about Macks events, but doesnt tell sheriffs whether to participate or not.

Sheriffs are gonna do what they know is best for their community, he said. I dont think theres a lot of participation for a variety of reasons.

When Stuart was Anoka County sheriff, residents would sometimes encourage him to attend the events or send him Macks books one of which he said hes read. Stuart wouldnt give his personal opinion on the constitutional sheriff movement or say whether hes ever attended one of the events, but said, Its good to be informed and do your homework.

Mack was a founder of the Oath Keepers, a violent extremist group that played a key role in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. The ADL said six law enforcement officials from Minnesota were listed among members of the Oath Keepers last year. The ADL declined to disclose their names to the Reformer.

The Oath Keepers recruit law enforcement and have gotten more media attention, but the constitutional sheriffs group has arguably had more success infiltrating law enforcement, according to the ADL.

Macks group believes county sheriffs powers exceed those of any other authorities when theyre protecting Americans from foreign or domestic enemies. Mack has claimed sheriffs have the power to call out the militia to support them the same logic employed by the Posse Comitatus, which the ADL calls a loosely organized, far-right, violent anti-government group that sprang out of the West Coast around 1970, peaked in the early 1980s and evolved into the sovereign citizen movement.

The Posse Comitatus also believed county government reigned supreme and sheriffs could nullify laws. One of their members, Gordon Kahl, was involved in two fatal shootouts with law enforcement in 1983, one in North Dakota and later in Arkansas, where he was killed.

Mack refers to his supporters as his posse.

The constitutional sheriffs group has honored as a sheriff of the year Wisconsin sheriff David Clarke, Jr., who described Black Lives Matter as a hate group and claimed they would join with the terrorist group ISIS to destroy American society.

How strong is role of Texas Theocrats here? – San Marcos Daily Record

Since its founding in the early 1880s, the little town of Cisco, 45 miles east of Abilene, has been in the news twice. In 1919, Conrad Hilton paid $40,000 for the Mobley Hotel in downtown Cisco, which eventually gained fame as the first in a worldwide chain of Hilton hotels. Eight years later, two days before Christmas 1927, Santa Claus and three of his helpers robbed the First National Bank of Cisco.

National notoriety will again fall on Cisco if Texas votersRepublican, Democrat and independent dont get engaged with their democracy sometime soon. The little town is home to the Wilks brothers, Dan and Farris, oil and fracking billionaires who, by playing Santa Claus to Republican officeholders receptive to far-right extremists, are on a mission to transform Texas into a Christian nationalist state. Their efforts, in conjunction with an even more influential West Texas oil billionaire, Tim Dunn of Midland, was on insidious display during the recent impeachment trial of the most corrupt state attorney general in America.

Ken Paxton skated, not necessarily because he was innocent of the charges that 121 House members, including 60 Republicans, brought against him. Hes back on the job and baying for RINO blood because most Republicans in the Texas Senate are either in thrall to the West Texas triumvirate or they tremble in terror at the prospect of being primaried by a Wilksand- Dunn-anointed challenger. All 19 Republican senators and at least half of the Republican House members have taken money from the West Texas billionaires or their affiliated PACs and organizations.

The biggest recipient by far in this state is none other than Paxton himself. Its likely that the Wilks and Dunn trio paid for his $4 million impeachment defense, which included the time and effort of very expensive Houston lawyers, Tony Buzbee and Dan Cogdell.

Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, the judge during the impeachment trial, also is beholden to the West Texans. Their Defend Texas Liberty PAC donated $1 million to the lite guv, while loaning him another $2 million. The PAC largesse came shortly before Patrick began presiding over Paxtons trial, a trial that ended with a fiery Patrick speech denouncing the impeachment process.

In addition to being fossil- fuel billionaires, both Dunn and Farris Wilks are Christian nationalist evangelistsDunn as a lay preacher for the Midland Bible Church, Wilks as a preacher for a Cisco congregation founded by his father called the Assembly of Yahweh Seventh Day Church. Dan Wilks and his wife oversee the Heavenly Fathers Foundation, a group funded with a portion of the $3.2 billion the brothers made when they sold the majority stake of their Cisco-based oil field trucking company, Frac Tech Services.

From the pulpit to the campaign pockets of politicians, the West Texans are on what they see as a God-imbued mission to transform Texas and beyond. Over the past 20 years, theyve contributed nearly $100 million to think tanks, nonprofits, fundraising committees, websites and Texas candidates who support their crusade. ... Kel Seliger, a longtime GOP state senator from Amarillo, ran afoul of the triumvirate in recent years. Reasonable, affable and conservative, Seliger is no longer in the Legislature. Its a Russian- style oligarchy, pure and simple, he told CNN last year. Really, really wealthy people who are willing to spend a lot of money to get policy made the way they want it and they get it.

What those really, really wealthy people want these days is to destroy Texas public education, a hotbed, as they tell it, of critical race theory and other elements ofwhat one Dunn-and-Wilks-backed group calls Marxist and sexual indoctrination, all funded by far-Left elites for decades. (That would be the Texas taxpayer.)

Their strategy, as Brandon Rottinghaus, a University of Houston political science professor, told Chron.com, is to recruit a generation of Wilks and Dunn-funded mouthpieces in state and local positions to push the narrative that public schools are harmful to students and their parents. Once public education is weakened beyond repair, they offer private religious schools as a better way.

With an insidious, well-funded effort, our home-grown theocrats will make sure that Gov. Greg Abbott has all the financial ammunition he needs in the next few weeks for his last-ditch, special-session effort to persuade lawmakers to use taxpayer money in the form of vouchers for private, often Christian- based schooling. Abbott calls it school choice. Rural lawmakers, whove fought the plan for years, know its school suicide.

The West Texans want to destroy the public school system as we know it and, in its place, see more home-schooling and more private Christian schools, former state Sen. Bob Deuell, a northeast Texas Republican, told CNN. Deuell, a physician, got crossways with the West Texans when he supported a bill that updated the states end-of-life procedures. Dan Wilks, falsely claiming that the legislation would strengthen Texass death panels, backed tea party activist Bob Hall, who defeated Deuell in 2014. Hall was one of Paxtons most outspoken supporters during the impeachment trial.

Texas is a big state, but the West Texans have Christian nationalist ambitions beyond our borders. ... The partys presidential nominee in 2012 has said he worries about the survival of Americas democratic experiment. Whether it survives depends in large part on what happens here in Texas, where the national far right comes for funding and ideas.
