He has risen to Chair virtually every civic or charitable group he has ever become involved with, most notably on November 3, he was voted Chairman of the Board of Lantern Light Ministries in New Orleans, a wonderful outreach that feeds the homeless every day. He and his wonderful wife Cookie sponsor many children all over the world through Child Care Worldwide and have visited many of them in Uganda & Kenya. However, if you visit with him for a moment, hell tell you his one real accomplishment in life, of any real significance, has been watching his five children grow up and become really solid citizens, and loving parents for their eight grandchildren.
