Immigration research:

The Immigration Policy Center says between 2006 and 2010, there were 10,342 new immigrant business owners in Wisconsin.

A 2009 University of Madison study shows 40% of dairy workers statewide are immigrants. The study found migrant workers' direct spending equals $14.9 million a year and $8.7 million a year in tax revenue.

The Pew Hispanic Center estimates there are roughly 85,000 unauthorized workers in Wisconsin. The Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy estimates unauthorized workers paid $94.5 million in state and local taxes in 2010.
