Clinton eventually changed her position and opposed the administration on its conduct of the war in Iraq, as well as most domestic issues. In 2006, Senator Clinton was reelected by a wide margin. Hillary Clinton won more primaries and delegates than any other female candidate in American history, for the 2008 presidential nomination, but lost the nomination toIllinois Senator Barack Obama by a narrow margin.
