Democrats give Trump an ‘F’ for first 100 days | TheHill – The Hill (blog)

Congressional Democrats are slamming President Trump's first 100 days in office, giving him an F on a number of issues.

"The grades are coming due for President Trump after a starkly dismal first 100 days. Budget: F. Creating jobs: F. Draining the swamp: F. Healthcare: F-minus." House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told reporters during a press conference on Friday.

Senate Minority Leader Charles SchumerCharles SchumerReagan's 'voodoo economics' are precisely what America needs When political opportunity knocked, Jason Chaffetz never failed to cash in Yes, blame Obama for the sorry state of the Democratic Party MORE (D-N.Y.) called the California Democrat a "tough grader."

Pelosi later amended her ranking of Trump's presidency, saying he had succeeded in helping Democrats by being "one of the best organizers the Democratic Party has ever had."

Schumer added that Trump's push this week on funding for his promised U.S-Mexico border wall, replacing ObamaCare and tax reform is part of a "desperate sprint" that shows he is "worried about a lack of legacy in the first 100 days."

I dont think he is improving or learning in the job. ... Its an F. He has not kept his promises. He has not accomplished much," Schumer said.

He also pointed to a White House fact sheet released earlier this week that inaccurately claimed that Trump had signed more executive orders than former President Franklin Roosevelt, arguing that it underscores "what an air of unreality the president is living in."

Trump touted his first 100 days at the White House on Friday, saying "were getting an awful lot of things done.

I dont think theres ever been anything like this. Its a false standard, 100 days, but I have to tell you, I dont think anybody has done what weve been able to do in 100 days," he said.
