After reviewing the product, I learned a few tips that will help you quickly set up a Google news website. The first step is the necessary word press plug-ins needed in order to set up the website. The second tip that I learned from Peng Joon #39;s product is how to set up the post structure along with categories in an authors page so that your website now it looks like a news website as opposed to a regular blog. The third tip involves in dealing with the Google interview and Q A in order to get approved for a Google news site. Here are my initial thoughts on having a Google News site, you can take them or leave them. You will rank quickly on google, monetizing the traffic might be a greater challenge then expected. If you enjoy writing then this will be a good plan for you. A news site requires a lot of fresh content. We are talking daily new articles in several categories to generate traffic. These articles can #39;t be crap either....they need to be informative and command the attention of the audience. You need to pick a niche that you are both passionate about and is large enough to allow you to continually generate new content that converts. In yet another example of the Internets ongoing takeover of the English language, Oxford American Dictionary has announced that 2012s word of the year is GIF.
What?
If you, like us, spend more time with your nose in a book than in tech circles, heres a primer: GIF, which is actually an acronym that stands for graphic interchange format, is a compressed file format for images that can be used to create simple, jerky, looping animations. The word, traditionally used as a noun, is a longstanding part of Internet meme culture and has been in use for 25 years. But, Oxford American Dictionary claims, this is the first year it broke free of the bounds of being a mere noun, transcending into the territory of verbs, where GIF has come to mean to create a GIF file of (an image or video sequence, especially relating to an event), according to The Week.
The GIF, a compressed file format for images that can be used to create simple, looping animations, turned 25 this year, but like so many other relics of the 80s, it has never been trendier, Katherine Martin, Head of the US Dictionaries Program at Oxford University Press USA, said in a press release marking the announcement.
GIF celebrated a lexical milestone in 2012, gaining traction as a verb, not just a noun. The GIF has evolved from a medium for pop-cultural memes into a tool with serious applications including research and journalism, and its lexical identity is transforming to keep pace.
Oxford included a list of Highlights of the year in GIFing, including its contributions to the viral ubiquity of Gangnam Style, the pop-hit Korean music video; as a tool in covering Olympic events; and its use in live-GIFing the presidential debates.

Londons Oxford University Press, the dictionary folks, have revealed their 2012 Word of the Year. It is omnishambles, which is defined as, a situation that has been comprehensively mismanaged and is characterized by a string of blunders and miscalculations.

Surely, the teams latest salary-dump fire sale and owner Jeffrey Lorias uncanny ability to make his customers hate him somehow inspired the invention of the word, because mere shambles does not go nearly far enough for this newest mess our baseball franchise has made for itself.
On the bright side, local fans, a heartbreaking Canes football loss or five interceptions in two games by Ryan Tannehill dont seem quite as bad when juxtaposed against a baseball owner who got a new stadium built on the promise of big payrolls and competitive teams and this week seemed to renege on that and betray that faith.
