Wonder Woman is unstoppable. Not only is the superhero movie breaking box office records , but it has some seriously high-profile fans willing to sing its praises. Exhibit A: Oprah. Exhibit B: Hillary Clinton.

During a video message shared at the Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards in Los Angeles on Tuesday, Clinton put her support behind the iconic superhero. And although she admitted she hasn't yet had the chance to watch the film, that doesn't mean she's any less of a fan.

"No, I haven't seen Wonder Woman yet, but I'm going to, in part because it's directed by the fabulous Patty Jenkins ," Clinton said. "But something tells me that a movie about a strong, powerful woman fighting to save the world from a massive international disaster is right up my alley," she continued, to general laughter. Her Wonder Woman homage was part of her message to actor, director and supporter Elizabeth Banks , who was receiving an award for Excellence in Film during the evening.

Michelle Obama and Senator Kamala Harris also sent in video messages to support award recipients Banks and Tracee Ellis Ross during the course of the evening.

Donald Trump remains bizarrely obsessed with his former political opponent Hillary Clinton, frequently calling her out and attacking her on Twitter, despite the fact thatlike it or notits now been seven months since he beat Clinton in the 2016 election, and it might be time to move on and try to actually lead the country. Just today, Trump lashed out at the former secretary of state on Twitter, demanding to know why hes been under such harsh investigation for potential Russian collusion, rather than her and her family. (Because youre the one whos president, you petty orange tyrant apparently not having been brought up as a potential motivation for the heightened scrutiny.)

Trumps ongoing obsession was apparently so annoying that it brought one of Clintons old Twitter accounts back from the grave, with @TheBriefing2016a meme-heavy official account devoted to refuting Trumps various campaign falsehoodsmaking its first tweet tonight since November 7, 2016. And while the Clinton camps use of social media never had quite the same screaming edgelord shitpost fervor as Trumps, The Briefings response to Trumps continual political priapism was honestly kind of perfect:

Ill never understand why Hollywood loves Hillary Clinton so much. Sure, shes a total fake, just like they are. But unlike her, theyre successful at it.

If they want to keep feting her, way past the point where it even makes sense anymore, at least their fantasy world is good for a laugh. Charles Fain Lehman, Washington Free Beacon:

Failed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Tuesday night compared herself favorably to comic and movie heroine Wonder Woman during a video appearance at a glitzy Beverly Hills awards show.

Clinton appeared in a 95-second video on behalf of actress Elizabeth Banks, a friend and supporter of Clinton who was being honored at the Women in Film Los Angeles Crystal + Lucy Awards.

Ha ha ha, get it? Thats why shes like Wonder Woman. And, also like Wonder Woman, she will never be President of the United States.

As comic-book fans remember, Diana Prince married Steve Trevor back in the 70s, and then he went into politics and spent decades banging every other woman in sight. Eventually he went all the way to the White House, where he carried on an affair with intern Etta Candy (Blue Dress, Red Rage, Wonder Woman #347). Diana stayed with Steve the whole time, strictly for political reasons. She even helped him malign the many, many women he left in his wake. Then she tried to ride Steves coattails and run for president herself, but she failed twice because she was a bad person and an even worse candidate. The only reason she could give voters to elect her was that shed be the first POTUS with a vagina, and it just wasnt enough. She was just that personally repellent.

Comics, right? The crazy stories those nerds come up with.

President Donald Trump has mounted another Twitter attack on former election opponent Hillary Clinton, condemning her for previously destroying her phones and "bleaching" her emails.

"Why is that Hillary Clintons family and Dems dealings with Russia are not looked at, but my non-dealings are?" the President tweeted, adding, "Crooked H destroyed phones w/ hammer, 'bleached' emails, & had husband meet w/AG days before she was cleared- & they talk about obstruction?"

The tweets may be in reference to reportsfrom the FBI's investigation into Ms Clinton's private email sever. The reports, released last year,say Ms Clinton destroyed her usedphones on at least two occasions while serving assecretary of state. She alsoused BleachBit software to delete some of her emails.

Mr Trump's rehashing of these reports cameone day after The Washington Postreported that he is under investigation for obstruction of justice.

The Postreported on Wednesdaythat Robert Mueller the special counsel overseeing the investigation into Russian meddling in the US election haslaunched a probe into the President's possible interference in that investigation.

Mr Trump issued a separate string of tweets following this revelation, calling the investigation into his conduct "the single greatest WITCH HUNT in American political history - led by some very bad and conflicted people!"

"They made up a phony collusion with the Russians story, found zero proof, so now they go for obstruction of justice on the phony story," he wrote."Nice."

The President has faced criticismfrom Democrats and Republicans alike, after unexpectedly firing theFBI director in charge of investigating his campaign's potentialties to Russia.

Former FBI Director James Comey later alleged tht Mr Trump had instructed him to drop investigations into members of his campaign team, and referred to the Russian investigation as a "cloud" he would like to see lifted.

Mr Comey'srevelations were one of the key reasons a special prosecutor was appointed to oversee the investigation in his place.
