WASHINGTON A new organization launched Monday argues that the road to a Democratic majority in the U.S. House runs through red California.

Red to Blue California PAC wants to help Democrats take back the chamber in 2018 by supporting and mobilizing Democrats challenging Republican incumbents in seven congressional districts that Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton carried in last years presidential race. Democrats need a net gain of 24 seats for a majority in the House.

The PACs founder, Michael Eggman, is a Democrat, farmer and beekeeper in Californias Central Valley who ran twice against Rep. Jeff Denham (R-Calif.) in a district Democrats had hoped to flip. The idea came to him after he narrowly lost in last years bid against Denham, whose district voted for Clinton (and for President Barack Obama before that).

The PAC will focus on advising candidates on the mechanics of running campaigns, from online fundraising to speaking at events, guidance Eggman wished he had before his first congressional bid.

You can have the best message in the world, but if you dont have the resources to get that message out, or if you dont have the proper platform to communicate your message, its not going to do you any good, Eggman told HuffPost.

In designing an effective message, its important for candidates to recognize the nuances of that specific district, Eggman said.

The competitive districts and Republican incumbents the PAC is focusing on are:

10th District: Jeff Denham

21st District: David Valadao

25th District: Steve Knight

39th District: Ed Royce

45th District: Mimi Walters

48th District: Dana Rohrabacher

49th District: Darrell Issa

All seven GOP representatives voted for House Republicans health care bill in May, an issue Eggman pointed to as evidence of the divide between the representatives and their constituents.

These reps are standing with [President Donald] Trump and not the constituents of their district, Eggman said. Their constituents dont share Trumps values, and it seems like these reps do.

Several of the districts are in Orange County, south of Los Angeles, a Republican stronghold that last yearwent for a Democratic presidential candidate for the first time since 1936.

In several of the seven races, Democratic candidates have alreadythrown their hats in the ring, buoyed by increased party activism.

Eggman said the PAC is not likely to endorse any specific candidates until after the primaries, but could intervene on a case-by-case basis if there is a particularly competitive primary.

Red to Blue California will also fund and train Democratic candidates vying for local office, to help them learn how to run sophisticated and efficient campaigns on the local level and to build a network of future leaders.

We want to pay attention to the bench, which is something that hasnt been done on our side of the aisle. Of course, Republicans have been doing it for a couple decades, and I would attribute that to a lot of their success, Eggman said.

Its great that a beekeeper ran for Congress, but it would have been better that a beekeeper that was also a county supervisor, that had already had a constituency footprint, ran for Congress. That would have given me a tremendous advantage.

Fresh off defeats in several special elections that had been seen as bellwethers for the 2018 midterms, particularly last Tuesdays race in Georgias 6th Congressional District, Democrats nationally are at a crossroads.

But Eggman pointed out that, in those special elections, Democrats made significant improvements compared to prior elections and overperformed in some cases, by double digits.

If we did double-digit gains in all seven of these seats, then we win. I am very hopeful, but Im in it for the long haul too, he said, noting that he would not see it as a loss if Democrats did not pick up all seven seats in 2018. Youve got to be resilient.

Since we conservatives humiliated Felonia von Pantsuit last November, its been all winning, all the time, from Neil Gorsuch to crushing the liberal climate cult to appointing a Defense Secretary nicknamed Mad Dog who prioritizes annihilating jihadists over making the infantry more welcoming to people confused about whether they are boys or girls. But thats unfair to the Democrats as our liberal friends teach us, our success belongs to them too, just like everything else we earn, build, or create belongs to them too.

We need to share our winning. We need to be bipartisan-curious!

After all, Democrats are always offering Republicans helpful advice, like Run away from the guy who beat The Smartest, Most Qualified, And Smartest Woman In The History Of Ever! and Reach across the aisle so we can grab your hand and drag you into our reeking cesspool of institutional progressivism!

So, in that same spirit of cooperation and love, I once again humbly offer some ideas for our liberal friends to help them win in 2018, which still all boil down to this: dont change a thing. Its more important than ever for Democrats to maintain a steady course. Just ignore that iceberg up ahead; its probably racist anyway.

Look Democrats, youre doing great. After a half year of Trump and several special election moral victories which are the best kind of victories America is digging your vibe. Everyone loves the Democrats and their can-do message of opposition to Trump, entitlement to our money, resistance to Trump, demands for even more of our money, and dog-whistlin about murdering Trump and anyone else who doesnt hate Trump or want to give Democrats our money.

Keep Nancy Pelosi! Shes the strategic genius who brought you to the pinnacle of success upon which you perch today! And no, Georgia 6 was not her fault; global warming caused it to rain on election day, and you know how Nan and other Democrat women react to water!

Sure, the GOP tries to diss her, but what they call liabilities are really assets! Shes not a rich, ageing, out-of-touch San Francisco leftist who never met a bizarre lifestyle she didnt embrace, nor or a traditional one she didnt seek to crush under her stiletto heels. Shes a resource-positive, seasoned, woman-of-the-people people who just happen to hate believing Christians and Jews, unborn babies, and America.

Doubt me? Then ask around Williamsburg or the Haight-Ashbury while youre walking your animal companion to the fair trade fruit co-op everyone loves Nancy!

Shes a keeper. So keep her!

But its also absolutely, positively going to help with everyone else because theres nothing that makes normal Americans reexamine their beliefs like the cool, rational charge that they are scheming to butcher thousands of innocent folks. I mean, I heard Elizabeth Warren say that and I thought, Whoa, I better rethink my position because this proud Native American speaks some heap big truths.

And your subtle justifications for murdering of conservatives? Keep that up too, because I have to tell you, were intimidated. So what if that socialist centurion sprayed the ballpark with 100 rounds from a long gun and managed to merely wound a few targets before being dropped by a couple of cops armed only with handguns? Maybe by next time and youre doing your best to ensure therell be a next time your swelling army of bangin Bernie Bros will have dramatically increased their tactical skills beyond what they learned in their gender studies seminars and from making coffees for people who drive Volvos. All we normals have to compete with that is years of weapons training, often from in the military. So keep it up threaten to make my cautionary novels about leftist tyranny a reality. That seems like a solid plan that will end well for you.

The bottom line is that everything youre already doing is still fantastic. Why change? That would be an admission that you suck, and that cant be a thing! No, its all the voters for being racist and sexist and transphobic and climate deniers and racist, but if you continue to call them out as the monsters they are, and show them that you have no intention of changing, theyre going to respond. And I think that response could be a wave election.

Im just not going to say for whom.

Advice To Help Our Beloved Democrat Friends Win In 2018 - Townhall

As Democrats reel from their devastating loss in Georgias special election, one has to wonder what is going on in the heads of Democratic Party leadership.

These days, it seems they do the opposite of what works. In a center-right country, they are moving further and further left. Looking at actions and motivations, we can examine what is really going on in the mind of a Democratic Party leader.

Here are five things Democratic leaders really believe:

1) Flooding new potential voters over the border is more important than the safety of Americans.

Allowing unfettered illegal immigration is dangerous for all involved, but the Democratic leadership doesnt care. As many as 5.7 million noncitizens may have voted in the 2008 election, according to a new report from the research organization Just Facts.

As the millions of illegal immigrants have anchor babies in the U.S., Democrats have a new generation of voters ready to elect them just a few election cycles from now. They are playing the long game.

The Democrat leadership salivates at the thought of millions of anchor babies coming of voting age to sweep their party back into power. Nancy Pelosis age may be in the triple digits by then, but it looks like she plans to stick around to see the fruits of her labor.

Also, the Democrat leadership doesnt care if terrorists cross our open borders. Any little people who die in a terror attack are just collateral damage. Its for the greater good the Democratic Party leaderships power and wealth.

2) Democratic leaders know more guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens equals less crime, but they want law abiding citizens gun rights suppressed anyway.

Again, the Democratic leadership is playing with the lives of Americans, but there is something much more important their money and power.

Demonizing Second Amendment supporters is a really great way for Democrats to fundraise, especially after a shooting. Democrats cant wait to find a TV camera after a shooting to politicize a tragedy.

Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe looked like a jackass as he politicized the attack on a GOP congressman by a rabid leftist Bernie supporter, but all he could see were dollar signs in his eyes when he heard news of a shooting.

3) The Democratic leadership wants to keep you on a virtual plantation by giving you free stuff in exchange for your votes.

There are few things that tear a family apart more than Big Daddy government coming in to help, but, the Democratic leadership doesnt care. It gets votes and money and power.

In lower-income minority neighborhoods, there is no role for men. Men who were destined to be providers for their families now have no purpose in their lives as Big Daddy government has replaced them as head of the household.

The Democratic leadership loves fatherless homes that have to accept free stuff from the government to get by. They own them and their votes.

Men who have lost their purpose as providers turn to drugs. And who is the party of drug decriminalization? The Democratic Party, of course!

The Democratic leadership doesnt care that it has robbed millions of poor minority households of happiness and success. Its all worth it as long as these households keep voting for Democrats.

4) The Democratic leadership has become communist. Although, its hard to tell if they actually believe in communism in their hearts or if they merely tow the commie (a.k.a. progressive) line to please the coastal elites whose money keeps them elected.

Nancy Pelosi comes from the commune of San Francisco, and the wealthy commies there keep her in power.

Jon Ossoff received as much money from donors in the city of San Francisco as he did from the entire state of Georgia. This isnt a coincidence. Ossoff would have owed his seat to Pelosi, and he would have voted for her as speaker in exchange for that campaign cash.

Anyone who thinks Pelosi is going anywhere is mistaken. Most Democratic congressmen owe their election to Pelosi and the San Fran commie cash.

These days, Democrats sound like communists because much of their money flows from the leftist coastal communes. To keep the money flowing, they have to keep the commies happy.

5) The Democratic leadership doesnt care that you have a household to support. They would rather talk about Russia conspiracy theories than help advance an agenda that restores jobs, national security and your peace of mind.

Democrats predicted Armageddon if Donald Trump was elected president, and they must do whatever it takes to keep President Trump from creating any prosperity in America. Every American who prospers during the Trump presidency is a lost vote for Democrats.

The best-case scenario for Democrats is to cause the economy to tank while Republicans are in power.

Thats why they must create scandal after scandal. Thats why they push conspiracy theories about Russia collusion that make them sound crazy.

There is nothing off the table when it comes to stopping President Trumps pro-American agenda.

The Democratic Party might appear to be discussing a change in leadership right now, but its not going to happen.

The Democratic leadership is in place because of the money it provides to candidates across the country. Elected Democrats in D.C. owe their seats to Sen. Chuck Schumer and Pelosi, who control the spigot of campaign money flowing from New York and California to Democratic candidates across the country.

And there is one thing way more important to elected Democrats than their constituents money.

Another prominent Democrat has come forward to voice concerns about allegations ex-Attorney General Loretta Lynch may have sought to keep a lid on last years Hillary Clintons email probe, with California Rep. Adam Schiff saying hes queasy at the thought.

Schiff, the top Democrat on the House intelligence committee, aired his concerns in an interview Sunday and said he wants to hear from Lynch personally.

I'd like to hear what Loretta Lynch's explanation for that is, either by having her come to the Hill or by having her speak publicly, he said.

The call significantly ups the pressure on Lynch, as the push to scrutinize her conduct in last years Clinton email investigation becomes more bipartisan.

LYNCH SHOULD TESTIFY, GRAHAM SAYS

The renewed attention stems from fired FBI Director James Comeys testimony earlier this month that Lynch had instructed him to describe the probe as a matter not an investigation. Comey said this confused him and cited that directive, along with Lynchs unusual tarmac meeting with former President Bill Clinton while the investigation was ongoing, in his decision to announce the FBIs findings on his own.

Comeys handling of the case later would be cited by the Trump administration in the decision to fire him, though speculation remains widespread over to what extent the probe of Russia meddling and possible collusion with the Trump campaign may have played.

Yet even as Democrats focus heavily on the Russia allegations, a handful of high-powered lawmakers like Schiff now want to hear from Lynch. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., top Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, told CNN earlier this month that Comeys charges gave her a queasy feeling.

Schiff said Sunday he agrees.

It does give me a queasy feeling as well, he told CNNs State of the Union. There may be a perfectly accurate explanation by Loretta Lynch about why she thought 'matter' was the appropriate term rather than 'investigation.' So I wouldn't assume James Comey's characterization is the last word on it even although though I'm sure it's accurate.

Asked if he would have Lynch come to the House intelligence panel, he said hes not sure thats part of the Russia probe.

But I would like to hear what her explanation for that was. But I certainly wouldn't want that to distract us from what we need to do to get to the bottom of the Russia allegations, he said.

The comments come after a bipartisan letter was sent last week to Lynch and others regarding allegations of political interference in the Clinton case.

The inquiry was prompted, in part, by a series of media reports raising questions about whether Lynch tried to stifle the investigation into former Secretary of State Clintons use of a private email server.

The reports come amidst numerous allegations of political inference in controversial and high-profile investigations spanning the current and previous administrations, Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley's office said in a statement.

Grassley, R-Iowa; Feinstein; Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., penned the letter.

The reports they cited were based on hacked documents whose authenticity has not been confirmed.This includes an AprilNew York Times articleabout a batch of hacked files obtained by the FBI, including one reportedly authored by a Democratic operative who voiced confidence Lynch would keep the Clinton probe from going too far.
