Contract With Republicans – Ann Coulter – Townhall – Townhall

Posted: Aug 02, 2017 5:22 PM

In 1994, after 40 years in the wilderness, Republicans swept both houses of Congress, running on Newt Gingrich's "Contract With America," in which the GOP promised to hold votes on 10 popular policies in the first 100 days. They won, fulfilled the contract, and went on to control the House for more than a decade.

More recently, the country gave the GOP the House in 2010, the Senate in 2014 and the presidency in 2016. But we're not seeing any difference. The GOP has become a ratchet, never reversing Democratic victories, but only confirming them with teeny-tiny alterations.

It's time for the voters to issue a "Contract With Republicans." Unless our elected representatives can complete these basic, simple tasks, we're out. There will be no reason to care about the GOP, anymore.

Whether these objectives are accomplished by President Trump or a rhesus monkey, the Democrats, the Bull Moose Party or the U.S. Pirate Party -- it will make no difference to us. We just need somebody to fulfill this contract in order to get our vote.

Here are our first three contract terms.

1) BUILD THE WALL

People said the chant, "Build the wall!" was mere shorthand for a whole slew of immigration policies, unified by the single idea of putting Americans' interests if not "first," then at least "above the interests of complete strangers to whom we owe absolutely nothing." It was called a term of art, meaning we want to stop sacrificing the welfare of our nation on the altar of liberal idiocy.

"Build the wall" was said to entail: a Muslim ban, deporting illegals, ending unconstitutional sanctuary cities, ending Obama's unconstitutional "executive amnesty," a dead-stop to the refugee scam and a massive reduction in legal immigration.

Yes, it means all that. But it also means: Build the wall.

If this is done only for reasons of conservative ideology, in recognition of the fact that the United States is a sovereign nation, entitled to protect its homeland, that's fine with me.

But I note in passing that, if I were a progressive constantly virtue-signaling on transgenders and refugees, and occasionally pretending to care about African-Americans, the very last thing I'd want to see is the continuing dump of low-wage workers on the country, undermining black fathers' ability to earn a living, to stay married and to pass down savings and a work ethic to their children.

The great civil rights hero Barbara Jordan understood that. The fact that our current low-rent liberals are unable to rise to her level is all the proof we need of their uselessness.

Moreover, in the future, we will once again have presidents with a taste for fascist executive orders, purporting to grant "amnesty" to illegal aliens. We will continue to have bought-and-paid-for legislators, pushing cheap labor in return for campaign donations. In the blink of an eye, they can undo every part of Trump's America First agenda on immigration, just as Obama undid our victory in Iraq.

A wall is the only part of Trump's immigration reforms that will not be instantly reversed by the next Barack Obama or George Bush. Allowing border patrol agents to do their jobs is a policy that lasts only as long as Trump is president. A wall is forever.

2) SUPREME COURT

Republicans need to stop having their victories written in wet sand. During the campaign, Trump vowed to impose a Muslim ban if elected; both political parties hysterically denounced him; he won the election; issued a highly modified, temporary travel restriction from a handful of majority Muslim countries; and ... a handful of carefully selected federal court judges announced that, during the Trump administration, they would be implementing immigration policy.

That's why President Trump must appoint, and the Senate confirm, brilliant conservative judges, preferably in their 30s and with good EKGs, so that they can keep issuing opinions well into their 90s.

As long as they are sufficiently vetted to ensure we're getting no David Souters or Harriet Miers -- vettings even MORE exhaustive than the alleged rectal probes given to the San Bernardino terrorists before admitting them to commit mass murder -- Supreme Court justices can have nearly the same permanence as the wall.

3) STOP WASTING MONEY AND PRECIOUS LIVES ON POINTLESS WARS

The left is way ahead of us on this one, already hard at work turning the greatest military in the world into taxpayer-funded adventures in lesbianism and transgenderism. (Sorry, taxpayers! We gave your Social Security to mental-case penis-choppers.)

Every recent war has been counterproductive at best. At worst, they have been meat-grinders for our bravest young men. Imagine that some small portion of the trillions of dollars poured into the endless -- and ongoing! -- war in Afghanistan had been used to build a 100,000-seat soccer stadium in Baghdad. And then imagine that we built 100 more just like it, right next to one another.

If we had taken a satellite photo of all those stadiums filled to capacity, the caption would be: "Not one American life is worth all the lives pictured here."

That's not anti-Arab. I'm sure they would feel exactly the same. I would respond, "Yes, of course, you're right to feel that way."

If we're ever attacked, we should be prepared to unload our full arsenal. But it's not our job to create functioning democracies in primitive rape-based societies around the globe.

Apart from an attack on U.S. soil by a foreign country, we are going to live our lives, go to work, celebrate the Fourth of July, and never bother learning the difference in Sunni and Shia Arabs. Once a decade, when we fleetingly remember Yemen or Saudi Arabia, we will hope they're doing well, then get back to our lives -- surrounded by a wall and living in a constitutional democracy, where our greatest young men aren't continually sacrificed in pointless wars.

Tommy Sotomayor Has Powerful Message For Black America …

Tommy Sotomayor posted an inspirational video on the death of Trayvon Martin. But the controversial radio host didnt shy away from condemning all parties involved in the propagandizing and exploitation of Martin.

Sotomayor displayed two graphic photos of Martins dead body before providing listeners a moving portrayal on what may have been Martins last thoughts before taking his last breath:

The one thing that hurts me more than anything is the second picture to see that this young black male, his last breath may have been he seen white people looking down at him offering him no assistance. Just staring down on what they thought was another black teen who was in a place he shouldnt have been or place they didnt want him. He looked up and saw white people taking photos of him taking his his last breaths. Im sure the boy looked up and thought, I sure wish my mother was here. Wish my brother was here. Wish my father was here. I wish someone who looked like me was here. I wish my father was home. I wish one of my friends was walking with me. I wish I never met this man who just shot me. I wish I hadnt got that ice tea those skittles. I wish I just had sat at home. I wish I wasnt so alone. And then darkness.

The pain that young boy felt anywhere from three to seven minutes must have been unimaginable, Sotomayor said. The pain that this young man felt, none of us, not one, will be able to imagine. I hope that none of us ever gets a chance to.

Sotomayor slammed the Sanford Police Department for failing to following proper procedure when conducting their investigation.

The Sanford PD ran tests on Martin, but failed to give George Zimmerman a drug and alcohol test upon arrest.

They decided to give a drug test to a dead boy, Sotomayor explained. They decided to look at the criminal records of a dead boy and not a grown ass man. They took the word of a man who had shot someone that they had never spoken to.

We do know he has a violent past, domestic violence, Sotomayor continued.

Zimmermans criminal records include a July 2005 arrest for resisting officer with violence, according to Orange County court records.

The charges were dropped after Zimmerman entered an alcohol education program.

Zimmermans estranged fianc filed a restraining order against him for domestic violence a couple months later in August.

Sotomayor proclaims there is a race war brewing in the America that is being stirred by the media.

The liberal media that you love so much is helping build it up, he said.

Black folks, Sotomayor said, wont be ready when it does happen due to dysfunctional behavior.

Cuz the only thing yall used to doing is fucking over and killing your own people, he said. The only thing yall used to doing is spending all your money on weed. The only thing yall used to doing is sagging your pants and rapping and talking about Versace wear. You dont know how to make money for your community. All you know how to do is making money for other communities.

All we do is make money for somebody else. Ask the NBA, he added.

Sotomayor blasted those who are using Martins death for their own personal gain.

This young boys death has been trivialized by everyone covering it, he explained. No one wants to tell the story correctly or be truthful. They want to make him out to be a saint or out to be a Tony Montanas cousin. Everybody has their hands in the cookie in the cookie jar. No one gives a damn about him. None of you do.

Sotomayor told viewers African Americans are too busy fighting to even know whom the real enemy is.

For all you black folks chasing and running down and threatening other black folks, youre the reason that boy died looking up at his white murderers and his white prosecutors, he said. His white detractors. There was only white people who documented this whole thing.

There were white witnesses, white perpetrator, white law members, everybody having something to do with this boys death was white.

Tommy Sotomayors Haters Just Made Me a Fan Onyx Truth

by: John Pennymon (@TPDpodcast)

Tommy Sotomayor is basically a shock jock YouTuber. He says pretty ridiculous things, mainly directed at black women, about the attitudes and behaviors of people he thinks are harmful to the black community. Based on this description alone, this makes him one of the most hated black social commentators on YouTube. Also based on this description alone, you miss out on the point of his commentary and the specific people, mainly black women, he is bashing. In essence, he is calling out destructive behavior in black culture and wants the empowerment of the black community and their families, albeit in a harsh, off putting, and easily seen as misogynistic way.

Tommy is the bane of black Social Justice Super Villains. The hate they have for him is so deep that the mere mention of his name gets a visceral and emotional response that is intriguing to me. Even when it comes to someone as open minded as myself, the fact that publicly saying that I understand his point even though I dont agree with his methods, gets me looked at as his ally. This interested me even more, so I started watching his content and I must say, its making me a fan.

Not a fan in the sense that I think he is always right, good, and I blindly ignore what I know is too much. Im a fan in the sense that its entertaining to see these so called warriors get an ass beating of a lifetime, for all to see on YouTube, over and over and over again.

Let me backup a second and explain how I came to this conclusion.

About a week ago, a friend of mine sent me alinkto this video that featured a former podcast colleague of ours in a debate with Tommy. When I first saw it was almost 3 hours long I was instantly disinterested, but was told to push through.

Our former colleague is one of those, I want to be Shaun King and get attention type of niggas, so I was interested in how he would fare against someone whom he considers toxic towards his black queens.

The debate (if you could even call it that) wasnt even fair. Tommy logically destroyed Johnny Silvercloud so bad that Tommy made Johnny agree with Tommy multiple times on Tommys main arguments, and even made Johnny apologize multiple times for derailing the conversation along with apologizing for paying more attention to the chat than the actual discussion.

This type of format caught my attention. I had always heard Tommy was this monster, but from what I saw he had good points even though I didnt necessarily agree with all of them and he stayed logically consistent. Something that his debate opponents can not do almost immediately, every time. I needed to see more, so I went over to his other channel and the shit show began!

His non-debate videos are mean, harsh, vulgar, and over the top. I personally dont agree with the method in which he goes about making his videos, but who am I to judge. No one watches my videos although mine are well thought out and mindful of peoples sensibilities for the most part. I can most definitely see why people would have such a visceral and emotional reaction to Tommy. You have to remember that I came into this situation backwards, so I already understood the purpose of his persona before I saw the persona. So, after subjecting myself to about 6 or 7 rants my question was: I get what you dont like, but whats the actual problem?

Every community has their bad eggs and every decent family tries to keep their families, especially the children, away from those bad eggs. Our moms wanted us inside by a certain time. Our dads didnt want us hanging around certain boys, or girls, or age groups for that matter. They both didnt want us listening to or watching certain media. These actions, and more, were done to make sure we didnt end up like those bad eggs. They exist and most of us, some more than others, want it to be called out and held accountable. Its really one of the only reasons why we make sure we raise our children the best that we can in the first place.

Unfortunately, in every part of the world, when it comes to the views of black Americans, the glorification of our bad eggs seems to be what we are known for as a whole. Even when itsperpetuated by blacks ourselves in order to be attractive to other people who value that sort of image, or actually are about that life for survival, its a problem. Whether its commercially perpetuated by others who copy that behavior by buying, supporting, or even selling the same type of media, or merchandise, its a problem. The byproduct goes right back to the streets we live in, but most importantly our image as a community. The world already does it to us. Why do it to ourselves?

Thats where statements like, youre one of the good ones, or you speak so well, come from. Those who make such statements tend to not live by black people, so they dont actually know who black people are. What they see is bullshit anyway, and not even nowhere near what we are really like (Buuuut it is kinda close. Maybe not Power and Empire close, but close enough to matter. Lets be real.). So, when it comes to how they (white people) maintain the country they are a majority in, created on purpose or not, that image is what is used to keep things unfair on that end of the equation.

The reality is, even though there are an overwhelming majority of blacks that dont behave that way, we know that the bullshit exists, and we ALL think, know, and believe that the rates at which it happens needs to drop. Now!

So why are you so upset that someone calls it out?

A common refrain I hear when I ask that question is, Its not what you say, its how you say it.

Sure, how a message is conveyed will determine how a good portion of an audience will receive that message. However, as intelligent beings, shouldnt we use that intellect to sift through emotion, passion, and explicit language in order to try to understand what someone is saying or where they are coming from?

One plus motherfucking one will always fucking equal goddamn two, no matter how the fuck I say it.

Which brings me back to Tommy.

Mr. Sotomayor is a genius! He literally capitalizes off of your emotions in order to get you so riled up that you end up proving his point for him. The point being, it doesnt matter how he says it. What he bashes is a problem and the rate at which it happens needs to go down. Now! Also, that black people and their communities can be better if we stopped engaging in attitudes and behaviors that are destroying ourselves. Fuck white supremacy! We do these things to OURSELVES! We all can agree with that? Right?

(Speaking to you black people) You know it, you know you dont like it, you know you raise your kids to stay away from it, so why the fuck are you so bothered and act like he hates all of us (but mainly black women) when you know good and goddamn well hes talking about the things that you already dont like? Because he says cuss words? Because you want to misrepresent his purpose because we are afraid as a community to hold black women accountable for their fuckery at times? Or, because he gets paid for it (there will be more on that topic later)? Either way, it doesnt matter. As long as it exists so will he.

Look, I dont agree with a lot that he says nor do I respect some of his stances. That doesnt mean Im not allowed to understand and agree with his point. You either for that matter! We are adults with high functioning brain capabilities. It does no good for you to think so emotionally and irrationally when that big of a clue is slapping you right in the face.

If you really want him to go away then use your time, resources, and platforms to do YOUR part to change these attitudes and behaviors the way YOU see fit. You know you want to see these changes too. Are you gonna do it or do you want white supremacy to?

Thats whats really the genius of Tommy Sotomayor. His point and goal being accomplished will bankrupt him because he will lose the thing you hate him for. All we have to do is work together to make our communities better without crying about white people, and Tommy literally disappears.

But you want to just call him names and emotionally react when you have the chance to actually confront him. Thats your fault.

In the meantime, while Im doing my part, Im also going to ignore his content that I dont like, and Im going to watch hours of challengers, one after another, get destroyed in debates with him because they cant control their emotions. That stuff is so fascinating to me. Thanks for making me a fan!

Question mark hangs over Poland’s European future, says EU’s Tusk – CNBC

Poland's future within the EU has come under renewed uncertainty after the President of the European Council said the country's "arrogant" rejection of EU law signals its desire to exit the union.

Donald Tusk, Poland's former Prime Minister, hit out at his home country's ruling Law and Justice party Thursday, saying that its fragile relationship with the EU had moved closer to breaking point.

"There is a question mark over Poland's European future today," Tusk told reporters in Warsaw Thursday.

Brussels has been at loggerheads with Poland in recent weeks over the conservative government's attempts to expand their powers. The EU claims that laws aimed at reforming the judiciary undermine the independence of judges and therefore break EU treaty rules. The government has since ignored a European Court of Justice order to halt tree logging in the Bialowieza forest, a Unesco World Heritage site.

"The fact that a European tribunal decision is rejected so arrogantly is evidence of something very dangerous in my opinion it is an overt attempt to put Poland in conflict with the European Union," Tusk said.

Tusk noted that several actions of the Polish government appear to be "very controversial" and could risk the country's continued EU status. Brussels has already been considering triggering Article 7 of the EU treaty, a legal process which could suspend the country's voting rights.

"It smells like an introduction to an announcement that Poland does not need the European Union and that Poland is not needed for the EU," Tusk noted.

"I am afraid we are closer to that moment."

Tusk's comments came as he was in the Polish capital giving evidence to the Polish prosecutor's office over allegations of negligence in his government's handling of an investigation into a plane crash in 2010. The crash killed many high-ranking Polish officials, including then-president Lech Kaczynski, brother of the head of the Law and Justice party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski.

Military chiefs attack European Union borders: ‘Why can’t armies … – Express.co.uk

The ability of allied forces to operate in Europe is still hindered by border restrictions which must be changed if theEuropean Union wants the alliance to succeed.

At present, forces have to battle past infrastructure challenges where roads and bridges are too weak to bear the weight of heavy equipment, and low-clearance tunnels and tiny air strips.

In a bid to solve the problem, the Netherlands, as well as Americas top army general in Europe want to change that.

In June, at a meeting of NATO leaders Dutch Defense Minister Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert called on EU officials to create a military Schengen zone.

Ms Hennis-Plasschaert said: We must be able to move quickly to any place where there is a threat.

And, while EU leaders approved a plan for greater military co-operation, it may not be enough if a crisis hits.

Officials suggest a military Schengen zone would not cost much to set up.

The Schengen zone is an area of 26 European states that allows border-free travel for many Europeans.

The agreement, signed in 1985, took effect in 1995 and abolished the need for passports and other types of border controls at their mutual bloc borders.

And the Dutch ministers calls for wider cooperation has been backed up by the senior United States Army commander in Europe - Lieutenant General Ben Hodges.

Lieutenant Hodges, a three-star general, is stationed in Europe. He has faced passport checks and even diversions at several European countries that he and his troops have visited.

He said candidly: I wish that we could move across Europe as quickly as migrants do.

Of course, we should have to meet all the EU road laws, respect sovereignty, but it is a surprisingly cumbersome process in several countries to get permissions to move troops, weapons, ammunition, even just regular convoys.

Getty

He added: I was nave. I just assumed, well, these are all EU countries, or NATO countries, it should be like going from Florida to Virginia on I-95.

And its absolutely not the case. So theres just a variety of reasons in terms of diplomatic clearances, regulatory procedures, infrastructure.

A spokesman for the European Defense Agency - which aids military cooperation among EU countries - was confident that a plan could get underway quickly.

It wants to work with the European Commission to ensure the military can work seamlessly between countries.

They hope to implement changes by next month.

Every member country, no matter how large or small, has an equal say in discussions and decisions. Photo shows: Signing the North Atlantic Treaty which marked the beginning of NATO, 1949.

NATO Secretary Jens Stoltenberg said: Last autumn, we looked at a map of Europe which showed how difficult it was to move troops from one country to another at short notice.

We used a traffic-light analogy and we saw that large parts of the map were red. We have worked very hard since then, and made significant progress.

NATO allies have cut red tape, and updated complex procedures, with the support of ministries and parliaments.

We are now looking at what more needs to be done, for instance regarding railways, airfields and seaports.
