Most illegal aliens routinely commit felonies – The Hill (blog)

Two newstudies, onefrom The Sentencing Project and one from the libertarian Cato Institute, reported that the percentage of immigrants committing crimes is lower than that of United States citizens. However, the underlyingmethodology used in each was critically flawed.

It is possible that legal immigrants commit crimes at a rate lower than U.S. citizens and that they are incarcerated at a lower rate than U.S. citizens. After all, legal immigrants are well vetted, and if they have criminal records in their countries of origin they are generallyineligible for admissionto American.

The vast majority of illegal aliens use fraudulently obtained Social Security numbers. They possess fake drivers licenses, phony green cards, fraudulent birth certificates and any other documents that U.S. citizens and legal residents have. In addition, they falsify I-9 forms under penalty of perjury. Thus, the average illegal alien routinely commits multiple felonies forgery, Social Security fraud, identity theft, and perjury.

This criminal activity is routinely swept under the rug in order to protect the myth of the law abiding illegal alien. However, when pushed, even the strongest supporters of illegal aliens are forced to acknowledge that the vast majority of illegal aliens commit multiple felonies. In fact, theSocial Security Administration and New York Timesreport that approximately 75 percent of illegal aliens have fraudulently obtained Social Security numbers which is a felony. TheACLUaccepts this figure and uses it to show that illegal aliens pay payroll taxes.

Furthermore, theLos Angeles Timesreports that up to 8 million of 11.1 million (72 percent) illegal aliens commit job-related felonies.La Razasays that illegal alienscontribute $15 billionannually in Social Security payments through payroll taxes [by using illegally obtained Social Security numbers - felony].

Mexican-born American journalistJorge Ramos admitsthat many illegal aliens use fake documents (a felony).

Even thepresident of the California State Senateadmitted this month that "half" of his family"would be eligible for deportation under [President Trumps] executive order, because if they got a false Social Security card, if they got a false identification, if they got a false drivers license prior to us passing AB60, if they got a false green card, and anyone who has family members, you know, who are undocumented knows that almost entirely everybody has secured some sort of false identification (felonies).

Neither the study from Cato or The Sentencing Project acknowledged these realities. And as a result, they tremendously understated the incidence of illegal alien criminal activity. Even the strongest supporters of illegal aliens acknowledge that 75 percent of illegal aliens routinely commit felonies of the aforementioned variety.

The Cato Institute further limited itsstudyto the incarceration rate for legal immigrants, illegal aliens and U.S. citizens. But it was forced to acknowledge that the numbers of incarcerated illegal aliens are not readily available because local and state governments do not record whether the prisoner is an illegal immigrant. Cato was therefore forced to use common statistical methods to identify illegal immigrant prisoners by excluding incarcerated respondents who have characteristics that they are unlikely to have. In other words, we can identify likely illegal immigrants by looking at prisoners with individual characteristics that are highly correlated with being an illegal immigrant.

The Cato study consequently excluded felonies routinely committed by the vast majority of adult, illegal aliens as long as they were not incarcerated, resulting in a significant understatement of the overall incidence of crimes committed by illegal aliens.

The study conducted byThe Sentencing Projectsimilarly focused on the incidence of crimes committed by foreign born individuals. According to the study, Major national datasets lack information on respondents immigration legal status, and this information has not been systematically collected by law enforcement agencies or state departments of corrections.

That studys data was just as questionable as that used in the Cato study. And its conclusion, A century of research has shown immigrants [including illegal aliens] do not threaten public safety and ... are less likely to commit crime than native-born citizens, was patently false.

Democrats often assert as fact that immigrants are less likely to commit crime than U.S. citizens. That argument is totally wrong, because the vast majority of adult illegal aliens are committing felonies by virtue of being active in America.

The myth of the law abiding illegal alien is just that: a myth.

DHS Says TX County Released 142 Criminally Charged Illegal Immigrants in 1 Week – Fox News Insider

During one week in February, 142 criminally charged illegal immigrants were released into the public by Travis County, Texas, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

The county, which is home to the liberal city of Austin, has been publicly called out by the Trump administration, which is trying to crack down on "sanctuary" communities that do not cooperate in enforcing federal immigration laws.

On "Varney & Co." today, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said this is a "travesty" and it's not good for the state.

Paxton pointed to troubling data from the Texas Department of Public Safety, which showsmore than 215,000 criminal aliens have been booked into local Texas jails between June 2011 and February 2017.

He noted that those aliens were charged with more than 566,000 criminal offenses, including homicide, sexual assault anddrug charges.

"I cannot think of a single upside to the taxpayers of Travis County for a sheriff to let go criminal illegals," Paxton said. "What's our upside?"

Paxton revealed that they are working on a bill in Texas that would block state funding to cities and municipalities that adopt sanctuary policies.

He said the bill has already been passed in the state Senate, and it's looking like it will make it through the House and go to Gov. Greg Abbott's desk.

"I think this works hand in glove with what the federal government's trying to do, and we're certainly supportive of it," Paxton said.

Chicago Hides Critical Info On Illegal Immigrants From Feds – Daily Caller

5561627

The city of Chicago moved forward to protect illegal immigrants through their municipal identification program in an effort to stifle the federal governments move to crack down on sanctuary cities.

The Chicago Sun Times reports Mayor Rahm Emanuel and City Clerk Anna Valencia took measures Wednesday to prevent sensitive information on Chicagos municipal IDs form being used against illegal immigrants who live in the city.

Similar to the municipal IDs New York Mayor Bill de Blasio pushed in New York City, the identification card enables illegal immigrants to access Chicagos city services.

According to The Sun Times, Emanuel and Valencia wanted to put out assurances that the city will only inquire about applicants about immigration status. Additionally, the city will not keep copies of applicants personal information.

Its going to capture just the name and the date of birth. Its not going to capture an address, a source familiar with the program told The Sun Times.

Applicants will also be able to self-designate their gender, which will be huge to the transgender and LGBTQ community. And its not just for undocumented individuals. Its for people with disabilities and people who are homeless or victims of domestic violence who will be able to select an alternative address, the source added.

The source continued, In the San Francisco model, applicants bring in the documents to prove someones identify. They hand them over to specially trained individual who can review the documents and then hand them back, the source said. In New York right now, they are retaining the address. Were not going to retain any of that information thats handed to us regarding the address.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced Monday that the Department of Justice would withhold federal funds from municipalities that defy federal immigration law.

Fundamentally, we intend to use all the lawful authority we have to make sure that our state and local officials, who are so important to law enforcement, are in sync with the federal government, Sessions said.

He later added, Countless Americans would be alive today and countless loved ones would not be grieving today if these policies of sanctuary cities were ended.

Emanuel vowed that Chicago would remain a sanctuary city for illegal immigrants despite Sessionss threat.

Ive always seen Chicago as a welcoming city, Emanuel said in an interview with NBC Monday.

Eight months into their dating relationship, Karen engraved a small gold cross with the word "yes" on it and kept it in her purse to give to him when he proposed.

A month after she began carrying the cross, Mike popped the question while they were feeding ducks together.

According to the Washington Post, he hollowed out two loaves of bread -- in one, he placed a small bottle of champagne. In the other, he hid the ring box. She found both items while tearing off peaces to feed the birds.

A local paper notes that after the proposal, the couple got the bread shellacked as a keepsake.

Since then, Karen and Mike have been inseparable.

"You can't get a dime between them," Ken Blackwell, senior fellow at the Family Research Council and a senior domestic policy adviser on the Trump transition team, told the Washington Post.

Chaos reigns in the United States and presidential adviser Steve Bannon could not be happier. Historically, people have demonstrated that they prefer stability over chaos even if it means tolerating leadership that is authoritarian or even dictatorial.Bannon, the chief adviser to President Donald Trump has done a mind-meld with the president; and they appear to be working from the same playbook.

Trump lives in the "Me, Myself and I" world where only he knows the truth and only he can fix it. I am not sure if he considers himself to be god or simply Emperor Trump. In my opinion Trump's erratic behavior is due to an attention deficit disorder that he suffers from. He is mentally handicapped and is easily manipulated by those close to him.

Bannon is a fairly skilled tactician and he is using the fears expressed by Trumpand his supporters to move the country toward a more nationalistic society. Bannon seems to think that he can manipulate the president to continue creating chaos and fear to the point where the federal government will move toward a more authoritarian rule. Unfortunately, our president does not appear to understand our Constitutional democracy and might actually welcome complete control.

The president is becoming a sideshow to some people. Even some who support him, are treating him like a joke. If you are handicapped, the last thing you want, is to be ridiculed for your shortcomings. This has to hurt and may be behind his constant need to lash out and refusal to apologize for mistakes he makes. When his colleagues say "Donald will be Donald" in response to a tweet or comment, it is not a compliment.

The president's continued use of Twitter to attack people, events or even other countries is negative, diminishes the stature of the presidency and limits his success. He should stop using Twitter, but seems blissfully ignorant to the chaos he creates with his behavior and no one seems to have the courage to really confront him for fear they will hear those famous words: "You're fired."

I do not believe Trump will complete his first term.

He is 70 years old and we know nothing about his health. Trump is a very bright person, but he is definitely handicapped in his social and educational and that is limiting his success as president. His father died of Alzheimers disease, so memory loss has to be a concern for him going forward. He is already showing the stress of the office and he has been president for only a short time. I believe deteriorating mental and physical health will be the most likely causes for Trump to not finish his term.

The other causes for an early exit for Trump are all related to Russia and his finances. His lack of transparency and honesty about these issues sets him up for all kinds of potential charges.

So if Trump leaves the presidency, we get Mike Pence as our president. Pence is an Evangelical Christian and he is probably more polarizing than Trump but he appears to be sane and he has governing experience. His political views are a concern for me, but I have come to the conclusion that I would prefer to have a president who is sane and speaks to god, rather than a person who thinks he is god.
