Marketing Mojo Launches Digital Marketing Training Courses

Charlottesville, Va (PRWEB) February 13, 2015

Full-service digital marketing agency Marketing Mojo has announced the launch of the Mojo Academy, providing in-depth digital marketing training courses. The courses, offered through online learning marketplace Udemy, will help anyone interested in marketing their businesses online to obtain a better understanding of a variety of digital marketing topics, including analytics, search engine optimization (SEO), online advertising, and more.

"As marketers, we understand that the digital marketing landscape changes constantly, and many people we speak to find it challenging to keep up with all the changes," said Janet Driscoll Miller, President and CEO of Marketing Mojo. "Anyone with a responsibility for promoting a business and/or a website whether they're in-house marketers, small business owners, or bloggers needs resources so they can understand and implement these tactics. The goal of the Mojo Academy is to provide them those resources and guide them through everything they need to know to get started."

Marketing Mojo staff members, who have expertise in various areas of digital marketing, teach the courses. They also have expertise in different industries and sectors such as business-to-business (B2B) marketing and e-commerce.

Miller teaches the first course in the Mojo Academy, Setting Up Google Analytics the Right Way for Beginners. The course shows students how to get started with using Google Analytics to track data from their websites.

"Many times our clients either don't have Google Analytics set up for their websites, or they don't have it set up correctly," said Miller. "This is a frequent challenge and a major missed opportunity for them in terms of tracking the data needed to make crucial marketing decisions. This is why we created this course to show marketers how to set up Google Analytics the right way so they can obtain those valuable data insights."

Are there more courses in the works for the Mojo Academy?

"Yes, were developing more courses for the Mojo Academy in the coming months," said Kari Rippetoe, Director of Content and Marketing Services at Marketing Mojo. "The courses will not only address different digital marketing topics, but will also cover more intermediate and advanced-level strategies."

Students may take the courses in their own time, as well as ask the instructor questions through Udemy's discussion areas. Students may also offer feedback about the course through Marketing Mojo's course survey.

"The quality of the courses for our students is of the utmost importance to us," said Rippetoe. "So we definitely want to know what they think of each course so we can continue to improve the training experience for them."

10 WordPress SEO Questions That Took Me 10 Years To Answer!

Of the many different content management systems and web publishing platforms Ive done SEO for, WordPress is the most popular.

Blogs, company websites and web shops run on WordPress. Designers are fascinated by its versatility and the range of adaptations possible with it. Users love its simplicity and effectiveness.

Its a simple blogging system that needs little or no knowledge of coding, website design or other technical details. Nearly 25% of the worlds top 10 million websites includingTIME, Mashable, Marketing Land and Search Engine Land are built on WordPress.

But being easy to use, WordPress also makes it tempting to take on things you shouldnt or overlook/ignore important elements of SEO that can cause problems with business growth, success and profitability.

This column isnt a step-by-step guide to WordPress SEO, but will address some of the frequent questions Im asked about SEO for WordPress websites. It will familiarize you with WordPress SEO and dispel some of the myths and misinformation about SEO in general.

No, there isnt such a thing as a search engine optimized CMS. Though WordPress is search engine friendly, you will still need to do some manual SEO work for bestresults. Just switching to WordPress wont rank your site on Googles front page auto-magically.

The myth of the SEO Optimized CMS continues to spread only because CMS vendors have made it a unique selling point. They announce it at client meetings. They proudly state it on their websites. They highlight it on marketing materials. They speak of it at conferences.

And it works!

Business owners or leaders without much technical knowledge about SEO often cannot distinguish between the similar-sounding terms search engine optimized and search engine friendly. Ive seen companies invest the equivalent of annual salaries of a team of employees on a new CMS that was chosen over others only because they believed it would cover all their SEO needs.
