Hillary Clinton & Jeb Bush To Speak In Irving

IRVING (AP) - Their presidential plans may be uncertain but one thing is clear: Jeb Bush and Hillary Rodham Clinton keep bumping into each other.

Bush and Clinton were taking the podium Monday at a higher education conference in suburban Dallas organized by Bush, the former Florida governor who is the brother and son of Republican presidents. The former secretary of state, whose husband, Bill Clinton, served two terms in the White House, is the leading Democratic contender in 2016 if she runs for president again.

As both Clinton and Bush weigh their options, the conference offers a bipartisan twist for the two dominant American political families of the late 20th century, both of whom could return to the presidential stage next year.

It is at least the third time in the past year that Bush and Clinton were crossing paths.

Both were on hand for the April 2013 Dallas presidential library dedication of former President George W. Bush, Jeb Bushs older brother. Mrs. Clinton sat on stage with her husband and four other living U.S. presidents attending the ceremony, including the Bush patriarch, former President George H.W. Bush.

In Philadelphia last September, Jeb Bush in his role as chairman of the National Constitution Center awarded Hillary Clinton the Liberty Medal, an event which allowed both to offer plenty of presidential-themed banter.

Bush said while he and the former first lady come from different political parties, and we disagree about a lot of things, they agreed on the wisdom of the American people, especially those in Iowa and New Hampshire and South Carolina, traditionally the first contests in the presidential primaries.

Tongue-in-cheek, Bush asked Clinton not to wear her medal in Des Moines, Iowa, the home base for many aspiring presidents competing in the states caucuses.

Hillary Clinton dodges 2016 questions onstage with Jimmy Kimmel

March. 23 (UPI) -- Despite widespread Democratic support for another presidential campaign from Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state says she's still thinking about it.

Clinton, former President Bill Clinton and their daughter, Chelsea, sat down with Jimmy Kimmel Saturday for a panel discussion at a Clinton Global Initiative event in Tempe, Ariz., when a young woman asked Hillary if she would run.

"Ms. Clinton, if you don't represent women in politics in America as future president, then who will?"

"I am very much concerned about the direction of our country and it's not just who runs for office but what they do when they get there and how we work together and particularly empower young people," Clinton responded, before Kimmel pressed, "She wants an answer."

"Let me say this, give me your name and number," she told the woman.

I appreciate the sentiment. Im obviously thinking about all kinds of decisions," Clinton added.

After the event, Kimmel tweeted a Clinton-family photo in an attempt to rival Ellen DeGeneres' record-breaking Oscars selfie.

Clinton: 'Thinking about all kinds of decisions,' but still undecided about White House run

Hillary Clinton has no doubt given strong indications about running for president in 2016. But this weekend she stuck to the standard political playbook by saying shes still undecided, with Election Day more than two years away.

Clinton said Saturday that she was "obviously thinking about all kinds of decisions," when asked about the issue during a Clinton Global Initiative University forum in Arizona.

"If you don't represent women in politics in America as a future president, who will? asked a female University of California, Berkeley student.

The former first lady and secretary of state said she appreciated the sentiment but was still deciding.

"I am very much concerned about the direction of our country. And it's not just who runs for office, but what they do when they get there and how we bring people together and, particularly, empower young people so we can tackle these hard decisions," Clinton said.

Late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel, who was moderating a forum question-and-answer session, playfully interjected, "She wants an answer!"

Clinton has increasingly spoken at public events since leaving her post as secretary of state in February 2013, including stops on the 2013 campaign trail. The foundation is largely considered a pre-campaign apparatus from which she can assemble a team and weigh in on key issues. And she leads all other potential 2016 Democratic candidates, according to most polls.

However, no candidate from either major political party has said definitely whether he or she will run for president in 2016.

The Saturday interview session also included Clintons husband, former President Bill Clinton, and their 34-year-old daughter, Chelsea.

Hillary Clinton guilt-tripped about 2016 presidential bid

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has dodged some version of the question countless times before, but that didn't stop a young woman from asking - and laying on a guilt trip, to boot.

"Mrs. Clinton, if you don't represent women in politics in America as future president, who will?" she asked during a Saturday meeting of the Clinton Global Initiative University in Tempe, Ariz., according to the Wall Street Journal.

Talk-show host Jimmy Kimmel, who was presiding over the discussion, jumped in: "To add to that, when you do run for president will you use the old Clinton campaign lawn signs?"

Mrs. Clinton, who was joined onstage by her daughter Chelsea and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, didn't bite.

"Look, I am very much concerned about the direction of our country. And it's not just who runs for office, but what they do when they get there," she said. "I'm obviously thinking about all kinds of decisions."

Mrs. Clinton, also a former senator and first lady, has said she's considering another bid for the presidency, and that she'll make a decision one way or another later this year.

Kimmel also asked Mrs. Clinton, who is 66, whether she and Mr. Clinton will have another child.

"Well, no, but I wouldn't mind one of those grandchildren I hear so much about," she said.

Chelsea Clinton joked about her mom's "unapologetic pressure, in public and private."

Hillary Clinton still undecided about presidential run

Hillary Rodham Clinton told a group of enthusiastic college students she is "very much concerned about the direction of our country" but was still deciding whether to pursue another presidential campaign.

During a forum at the Clinton Global Initiative University, Clinton fielded a question from Vrinda Agrawal, a student at the University of California, Berkeley who asked, "If you don't represent women in politics in America as a future president, who will?"

More than 1,000 students roared with approval and applauded while former President Bill Clinton smiled, whispered into TV host Jimmy Kimmel's ear and clapped along.

The former first lady said she appreciated the sentiment but was still deciding.

"I am very much concerned about the direction of our country and it's not just who runs for office but what they do when they get there and how we bring people together and particularly empower young people so we can tackle these hard decisions," Clinton said.

Kimmel playfully interjected, "She wants an answer!" Clinton smiled and asked the woman to "give me your name and number." The woman responded, "I will proudly run your campaign!"

Clinton said she was "obviously thinking about all kinds of decisions."

The exchange came during a wide-ranging interview of the Clintons and their 34-year-old daughter, Chelsea. The host of Jimmy Kimmel Live jokingly asked the former first lady, "If you do run for president, will you reuse the old Clinton campaign lawn signs?"

The interview covered light topics like how the Clintons met at Yale Law School, the family's favourite TV shows - the former president said they enjoyed PBS's Antiques Roadshow - along with their upbringing and policy issues.
