MemeBridge Opens Bidding on Portfolio of Real Estate Domains

MemeBridge, a leading web publishing company, is now offering portions of its portfolio of real-estate related domains for sale.

Denver, CO (PRWEB) March 02, 2012

The majority of these real-estate domains are "exact match domains." Exact match domains are exceptionally valuable because they receive a significant ranking bonus from the major search engines, including Google, Bing, and Yahoo. These bonuses lead to improved search engine rankings, which lead to more traffic, which leads to greater revenue.

As an example, the domain IncomeBasedApartments.org will be much easier to rank for the search phrase "income based apartments" than a domain called income-based-apartments.com.

The exact match domain bonus applies only to top level domains with the com, net, and org extensions. For example, the domain Section8HousesForRent.org will be much easier to rank for the search phrase "Section 8 Houses for Rent" than the domain Section8HousesForRent.biz.

This exact match bonus gives the owner of the domains an unfair advantage in the search engine rankings and makes these domains extremely valuable for receiving traffic from the major search engines. Investing in an exact match domain can pay for itself many times over by reducing the amounts that much be spent on search engine marketing.

These domains do not have set prices. Interested parties should contact MemeBridge with serious offers.

New Panasonic chief vows to chase profits

Kazuhiro Tsuga, the newly appointed president of Panasonic Corp., said Wednesday the electronics giant will pursue growth on multiple business fronts in a rational way to survive harsh global competition.

The day after Panasonic announced that the 55-year-old will replace current President Fumio Otsubo, 66, Tsuga told a news conference in Tokyo: "We need to focus on how we can realize growth and profitability in all domains.

"We can't post growth without achieving 'rational growth' by removing inefficiency."

Tsuga said the company's goal has been to take revolutionary steps in fields related to the environment business.

"But we cannot depend only on the environment business," he added.

The Osaka-based company said Tuesday that Otsubo will step down and become chairman. Tsuga is currently a senior managing director and president of the firm's audiovisual products unit.

The change is to be formally approved at a general shareholders' meeting scheduled for June 27.

The shakeup came weeks after Panasonic forecast a 780 billion net loss, its biggest ever, for this business year to March due to the strong yen and slowing demand for its TV and semiconductor businesses.

At the same news conference, Otsubo said Panasonic will place importance on fast-growing emerging markets.

UK's Branson Beats Porn Cybersquatter

An Australian man who tried to register a porn domain using the name of Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson has been ordered to hand it over to the British entrepreneur.

Sean Truman registered the 'richardbranson.xxx' domain in December, making use of the controversial new 'xxx' porn suffixes that finally went on sale to the public last December after ICANN's board approved the idea in June 2010.

Richard BransonAfter Branson complained, the US-based National Arbitration Forum (NAF), which ICANN uses to adjudicate on web domain disputes, has ruled that Truman had no rights to use the domain because of the inevitable public association with its famous namesake.

"The Respondent is using the fame of the Complainant's mark improperly to increase traffic to the website listed at the Domain Name for commercial gain. Such conduct constitutes bad faith," NAF said in its lengthy ruling.

Truman was said to have used richardbranson.xxx as a landing page for links to pay-per-click adult content.

"The domain name is in effect a souvenir, and the respondent has no plans or intentions to host a website using the name," Truman had claimed in his defence.

Advocates of the .xxx domain in the Internet industry will have heaved a sigh of relief that Branson won, by no means certain after it emerged that he had not registered 'Richard Branson' as a trademark.

A defeat would have been a publicity disaster for ICANN, which has gone to some lengths to promote a dispute resolution framework that allows people to use new domains such as .xxx without encouraging the abuse and squatting that critics said was bound to occur.

The criticism remains that Branson has still had to go to some expense to defend himself against a single individual registering a domain in a speculative way at very little cost.

"Virgin Group treats the use of its and Sir Richard's name on the web very seriously and we ensure that there are no unauthorised sites operating that will confuse customers," said Nick Fox speaking on behalf of Branson.

In August, UK registrar Easyspace released figures showing that only 20 percent of the pre-registrations for the .xxx domain were from businesses involved in porn, with the other 80 percent being made by companies simply trying to protect trademarks from abuse.

TOKYO ELECTRON DEVICE ANNOUNCES Joint Development with Cypress Semiconductor of USB 3.0 Device Interface Card

YOKOHAMA, Japan--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Cypress Semiconductor Corporation of San Jose California and Tokyo Electron Device Limited (TED) today announced that they have jointly developed a USB 3.0 device interface card. The inrevium* TB-FMCL-USB30, available from TED, utilizes Cypress's EZ-USB® FX3™ controller to implement the new SuperSpeed USB and achieve a data rate of 5 Gbps, ten times that of USB 2.0.

The TB-FMCL-USB30 is an FPGA mezzanine card (FMC) that connects to a PC interface capable of a maximum data rate of 5 Gbps. It utilizes the Cypress EZ-USB FX3 device which supports SuperSpeed USB implementation. The TB-FMCL-USB30 allows on-board testing of USB 3.0 to be conducted simply by connecting it to the mother board. The accompanying reference design allows access to the slave peripherals supporting AMBA® 4 AXI4™ (Advanced eXtensible Interface 4) implemented in a Xilinx FPGA, and users can take advantage of the Xilinx Embedded Development Kit (EDK) to simplify the addition of a USB 3.0 interface into AXI4-based FPGA designs. The TB-FMCL-USB30 is released under TED's inrevium brand.

The EZ-USB FX3 is one of the first USB 3.0 peripheral controllers in the industry, and the only programmable solution to date. It is equipped with a fully configurable General Programmable Interface (GPIF™ II) capable of supporting data rates up to 400 MBps. GPIF II enables FX3 to interface directly with any processor, ASIC or FPGA. The GPIF Designer, a graphical user interface (GUI) tool kit, helps system designers to configure the GPIF interface to their needs. Several popular system interfaces are provided as examples, including FIFO, SRAM, asynchronous and synchronous multiplexed address/data. The on-chip ARM9 CPU core with 512KB RAM delivers 200 MIPS of computational power and is available for applications that require local data processing. Additionally, FX3 provides interfaces to connect to serial peripherals such as SPI, UART, I2C and I2S. In short, FX3 provides highly flexible and integrated features that enable developers to add USB 3.0 connectivity to any system.

"We are glad to see a leader such as TED providing a timely USB 3.0 solution to enable the SuperSpeed market," said Mark Fu, Senior Director of Cypress's SuperSpeed USB Business Unit. "The FPGA mezzanine card with EX-USB FX3 is an excellent example of USB 3.0 enablers that will drive USB 3.0 adoption into many embedded applications."

Similarly, Yasuo Hatsumi, Vice President of the Solution Business at TED, expressed his hopes by saying, "We are pleased to have worked together with Cypress, who have already introduced various USB products into the market, for the development of a USB 3.0 interface card, which is now becoming widely spread for PC's and home electronic appliances. TED will continue to place an emphasis on the collaboration with our partners to push forward new solution proposals to enable quicker FPGA development."

The TB-FMCL-USB30 is marketed directly by TED for a diverse range of embedded applications that require a USB 3.0 interface, with a target of annual sales of 1,000 boards in 2014. The motherboards of this interface card available from TED to which the TB-FMCL-USB30 can be connected consist of evaluation platforms fitted with the Virtex®-6 FPGA or Spartan®-6 FPGA as well as the Kintex®-7 ACDC1.0 base board released in January 2012. An evaluation platform with a Virtex-7 FPGA is also currently under development.
