CBS' official poster for season 15

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" is an American crime drama television series which is also more commonly referred to as just "CSI" or "CSI: Las Vegas." It first premiered on the CBS in 2000 and was created by Anthony E. Zuiker and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. The series was renewed for a fifteenth season by CBS on Mar. 13 earlier this year and is scheduled to premiere today on CBS.

It was previously reported that Julie Finlay will be faced with a bomb threat in her car right off episode one which throws DB Russell and the entire crime lab team in a fit of panic.

The show's official first episode synopsis reads, "Finlay must deal with a bomb planted in her car, while Russell gets a call from someone claiming to be the Gig Harbor killer."

While the CSI series had multiple criminals which it put behind bars or killed throughout its previous season, Season 15 could be different with a series-long killer. The CSI Writers Room had already alluded to the possibility in July and they described Season 15 of CSI: Las Vegas to be "super dark and twisted."

"Hey, did you guys want to do a season-long killer?" the Writers Room asked earlier this summer.

As for the identity of the season-long killer, it could possibly be Jared Briscoe. Briscoe was personally arrested by Russell and his involvement with a series of crimes will surely baffle the crime lab boss. He will be pondering on whether he had caught a cop-cat or a twin.

Although the writers have prepared a dark and twisted season, they assured fans that it will still be a "fun" and "not painful" season.

Peter MacNicol has been added to the CSI: Cyber cast.

The new CSI: Crime Scene Investigation spinoff stars Patricia Arquette as Special Agent Avery Ryan, who is in charge of the Cyber Crime Division at Quantico, Virginia.

MacNicol will star as Stravros Sifter, assistant director for the Cyber Crime Division and Ryan's supervisor, reports Entertainment Weekly.

MacNicol's character is described as "a shrewd and savvy networker" and "a charmer with a hint of malice".

The new CBS police procedural show also features Community's Charley Koontz as Agent Daniel Grummitz.

MacNicol is best known for playing lawyer John Cage in Ally McBeal. He has since appeared in 24 and NUMB3RS.

CSI: Cyber is included in the 201415 network television schedule of CBS.

As landscapers cleared shrubs and cut the lawn in an effort to beautify the front of the Blossom Park condo complex, deputy patrol cars and crime scene investigation vans lined the back and officials searched for evidence where two homicides occurred in less than 48 hours.

The most recent victim was 24-year-old Jennifer Valentin-Muniz. She was found shot to death near building F about 4:25 a.m. Friday.

Another man, 23-year-old Jose Pomales-Santiago, was shot one building over near building G about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, deputies said. Pomales-Santiago was rushed to a local hospital, where he died.

It's too soon to say if the two shooting deaths are related. But according to a report filed after Pomales-Santiago's recent arrest, Blossom Park is a haven for drugs.

"This complex is a high drug area, heroin in particular, and a lot of drug arrests are made in this complex," a report said.

Still a cheery yellow "Now Leasing" sign adorned with balloons hung near the front of the complex to welcome potential residents.

The condos, located near the intersection of Landstreet Road and South Orange Blossom Trail, are less than two miles south of Florida Mall. It is one of the many housing complexes converted from former motels and is home to a mostly Hispanic community.

The few residents willing to speak with media refused to share their names but said they routinely feel unsafe. But even though several said they wanted to leave the area, moving is not an immediate option for many of the low-income families.

In May, another person was killed at Blossom Park.

While patrolling the complex, deputies walked past Anthony Jones, 39, who sitting on a curb waiting for a friend. Minutes later deputies heard gunshots and rushed back to him but Jones had already been shot. He died at the scene.
