Ann Coulter Tells Donald Trump ‘Be a Man’ Over Whether to Fire Jeff Sessions – Newsweek

Conservative firebrand Ann Coulter has said Donald Trump needs to be a man and make up his mind regarding the fate ofAttorney General Jeff Sessions.

The president has launched a series of attacks on Sessions, questioning why the attorney general has not investigated Hillary Clintons use of a private email server or the intelligence leaks during his administration, leading to questions over whether Sessions is likely to resign or be fired.

Despite the tweets, the president has avoided committing to making a firm decision on Sessions, and that is what Coulter appeared to criticize in an email she sent to The Washington Post.

Be a man if you don't want Sessions, then fire him. You're the PRESIDENT, Coulter said in an email sent to the Posts Robert Costa, extracts of which he shared on social media.

Its starting to feel like Capt. Queeg. Hes screwing with Sessions? Wow, is that treacherous! she added.

Trumps open hostility toward the attorney general has prompted a backlash from a number of Republicans unhappy with what has been referred to as Trumps online bullying, and some usually pro-Trump conservative media havealso been bashing the presidents online criticism of Sessions.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions has taken a VERY weak position on Hillary Clinton crimes (where are E-mails & DNC server) & Intel leakers! Trump tweeted on July 25, part of a series of messages about the attorney general.

Republican Senator Lindsay Graham was among those who suggested Trump should not have tweeted about Sessions.

President Trump's tweet today suggesting Attorney General Jeff Sessions pursue prosecution of a former political rival is highly inappropriate, Graham said in comments carried by The Washington Examiner.

Prosecutorial decisions should be based on applying facts to the law without hint of political motivation. To do otherwise is to run away from the long-standing American tradition of separating the law from politics regardless of party.

Ann Coulter: S.A. trailer victims would still be alive 'if we had a wall'

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter took to Twitter to say the 10 immigrants who died after being smuggled into San Antonio in a tractor-trailer would still be alive if "we had a wall."

Building a wall along the country's border with Mexico was one of President Donald Trump's promises as a candidate, and a policy he has yet to deliver on. Five days after his inauguration, Trump signed an executive order that called for the "immediate" construction of a border wall to "prevent illegal immigration, drug and human trafficking, and acts of terrorism."

"They're still be alive, if we had a wall," Coulter said on Twitter Sunday, hours after eight people were found dead inside the sweltering trailer in a Walmart parking lot on San Antonio's Southwest Side.

Two more died Sunday and Monday after being taken to local hospitals for treatment.

Coulter's tweet was met with more than 1,000 retweets, 2,600 likes, and dozens of responses that cheered her sentiment on.

"I agree!! We need a wall, and fast," one said.

Others disagreed.

"Really? (You) honestly believe that, Ann? Drive down to the Rio Grande Valley in Texas (and) get a reality check!" one said.

Ann Coulter Slams Delta Airlines, Says CEO Should Fly Jet Blue – International Business Times

When Ann Coulter gets going, its hard to get her to stop. Continuing a several days-long rant against Delta on Twitter, Coulter slammed the airline carrier again Sunday, while promoting one of their rivals.

I had a GREAT flight on @JetBlue yesterday, where the customer comes first! @Delta's CEO should fly @JetBlue sometime and pick up some tips, Coulter wrote.

Coulter, 55, is a right-wing commentator who often appears on television and radio and does speaking engagements. Her feud with Delta began last week when she was moved from her original pre-booked seat on a flight. After the incident, she took to Twitter to disparage the airline, its employees and even went as far as to poke fun at the stranger that Delta had given her seat to.

.@Delta motto: "How can we make your flight more uncomfortable? she wrote on Twitter. spends all this $$$ on beautiful aircraft & then hire Nurse Ratchets as flight attendants & gate agents.

Nurse Ratched was the tyrannical, rule-enforcing nurse that was the antagonist in the novel One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest.

Delta agreed to return the $30 that it cost to upgrade to an emergency aisle seat with more legroom, but offered a chiding statement in response to Coulters behavior.

@AnnCoulter Additionally, your insults about our other customers and employees are unacceptable and unnecessary, said Delta in a statement on Twitter.

Coulter was not pleased with Deltas response.

She went on to say that the time she took choosing that specific seat was worth $ 10,000 and compared the company to fascists.

But I love @Delta declaring my tweets unacceptable. @Delta now dictating acceptable conduct off the plane. NOT fascist at all. #Resist, she wrote on Twitter.

According to Forbes, Saturday, the original mishap was caused by a glitch in which Coulter tried to change from a window seat to an aisle seat a day before the flight, but ended up back in her original seat.

Ann Coulter takes one side in the Trump-Sessions squabble – TheBlaze.com

Right-wing firebrand Ann Coulter indicated that she thought President Donald Trump was wrong to blame Attorney General Jeff Sessions for the naming of special counsel Robert Mueller in the investigations into the alleged Russian elections meddling and collusion with the Trump campaign.

Whos going to tell Trump? she tweeted Thursday. It wasnt Sessions recusal that led to Special Counsel; It was Trumps own boasting to Lester Holt 2 [months] later.

Coulter was referring to the public criticism that Trump made of his own attorney general in an interview with the New York Times Wednesday.

Sessions should have never recused himself, and if he was going to recuse himself, he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else, he said to the New York Times.

Jeff Sessions takes the job, gets into the job, recuses himself, which frankly I think is very unfair to the president, he said.

How do you take a job and then recuse yourself? If he would have recused himself before the job, I would have said, Thanks, Jeff, but Im not going to take you. Its extremely unfair, he continued, and thats a mild word to the president.

But Coulter points out that the naming of Mueller as special counsel came after Trump himself admitted to Lester Hold in an interview in May that he fired FBI Director James Comey over his handling of the Russian investigation.

But are you angry with Mr. Comey because of his Russia investigation? Holt asked the president.

I just want somebody thats competent, Trump replied. I am a big fan of the FBI. I love the FBI. I love the people of the FBI.

But were you a fan of him taking up the investigation? Holt pressed.

Look, look, let me tell you, Trump said, as far as Im concerned, I want that thing to be absolutely done properly. When I did this now, I said, I probably, maybe, will confuse people, maybe Ill expand that, yknow Ill lengthen the time. Because it should be over with, in my opinion, it should have been over a long time ago. Because all it is, is an excuse. But I said to myself, I might even lengthen out the investigation.

Mueller expanded his investigation into alleged Russian meddling and collusion into the meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and other Trump campaign officials with Russians in the run-up to the 2016 election. Some Trump allies, like Fox News Sean Hannity, have called for an investigation into Muellers possible conflicts of interest, which he says includes a friendship with former FBI Director James Comey.

Ann Coulter Had a Tweet Storm About Losing Her Seat but …

Just a few short months ago, United Airlines faced one of the worst public relations nightmares of recent memory, and the airline industry as a whole was criticized for its seating policies and the cost and inconvenience passed on to customers. That case, of course, involved Dr. David Dao, who was dragged from his seat after refusing to comply with United and security at Chicagos OHare International Airport. He wasleft bloodied and bruised, his cries of refusal fully captured on a viral Twitter video.

Fast-forwardto this past weekend.Right-wing columnist Ann Coulter attacked Delta Air Lines in a tweet storm for moving her from a seat with extra legroom. Sheexpressed outrage and evidently expected sympathy similar to what the Kentucky-based Dao received.

Problem is, following Daos incident, Coulter said he should have been deported, Mediaite reported Monday.

Daily Emails and Alerts - Get the best of Newsweek delivered to your inbox

Coulter referred to a story that said Dao had his medical license suspended for drug abuse. Responders to the tweet largely thought she may have gone too far.

Daos incident involved violence, and even if the airline technically had the right to switch his seat at the time, its hard to say he deserved his treatment. Meanwhile, Coulter employed her 1.61 million-follower Twitter account to call out Delta, its employees and even the passenger who ended up in her original seat.

Coulter also claimed that the time she spent picking out her seat ahead of time was worth $10,000, a huge difference fromthe $30 refund that Delta gave her for moving her to a seat with less legroom.

She also called out Delta CEO Ed Bastian.

Tweeting directly at Coulter, Delta defended its employees and customers.

Delta also released a statement that fired back at Coulter.

We are sorry that the customer did not receive the seat she reserved and paid for, the statement read, according to USA Today. More importantly, we are disappointed that the customer has chosen to publicly attack our employees and other customers by posting derogatory and slanderous comments and photos in social media. Her actions are unnecessary and unacceptable.

For Dao, the viral nature of his storyplus the graphic videocaused enough of a national stir that United quickly and confidentially settled a lawsuit filed not long after the incident. While the settlement amount is unknown, rumors in China claimed it was for $140 million, according to The Washington Post.

Given that Coulter was not harmed physically, a lawsuit and subsequent settlement seemhighly unlikely.
