Bill Maher tells ‘liberal purists’ who didn’t support Hillary Clinton: ‘Go fk yourselves’ – Washington Examiner

Liberal political comedian Bill Maher shared a stern message for the "liberal purists" who refused to support Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election: "Go fuck yourselves."

During the Friday episode of his HBO show "Real Time," Maher argued that the first 100 days of President Trump's presidency provides enough evidence to ask liberals who "couldn't bring themselves to vote for Hillary because she was the lesser of two evils."

"Quite a bit lesser, wouldn't you say now?" he added to applause.

Maher explained that this monologue wasn't about "reliving the last election or my great love for Clinton, which never was.

"This is about winning the next election," Maher said. "And that begins with learning the difference between an imperfect friend and a deadly enemy."

Amid a flurry of rhetorical questions, Maher made the point that Clinton as president, in contrast to Trump, wouldn't roll back climate change regulations, wouldn't be Russian President Vladimir Putin's "bitch," and support a healthcare plan to pay for a tax cut for herself.

"Do you really think if just-as-evil Hillary had been elected conservatives would now be in control of the Supreme Court as they will for decades? Just wait until the 5-to-4 decisions start rolling in gutting unions, making it harder for minorities to vote, siding with polluters, overturning abortion rights," Maher said.

"Then maybe you'll join me in saying to the liberal purists: Go fuck yourselves with the locally grown organic cucumber," Maher said.

During her opening statement on Saturdays edition of the Fox News Channels Justice, Judge Jeanine Pirro ripped into 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton after she blamed WikiLeaks andJim Comeys letter on October 28thfor losing the election to President Donald Trump.

Judge Jeanine called Clinton a loser and told her to go back into hiding.

Hillary, snap out of it, Pirro said. Im tired of going through this with you. Youre a two-time loser who lost because you were a lousy candidate, you didnt have a message, you lied every time you opened your mouth; you didnt know what states to campaign in, you put our national security at risk with your amateur email setup, you were in a foundation that was nothing more than an organized criminal enterprise parading as a charity, four men died under your watch as you lied about a video, and there [were] a billion dollars missing from the State Department when you left. And I could go on and on, but I just dont have the time. So, stop with the poor me nonsense. Weve had it with you Clintons always claiming victimhood. The two of you havent followed the rules since the day you both showed up in your bell bottoms in Arkansas.

She later warned, Be careful, Hillary. Be very, very careful. You pulled the wool over Jim Comeys eyes once, and you actually got the president to say youre a nice lady. Dont be so sure youre going to get away with your new game, given your illegal, ill-advised, and incompetent instincts. Youre a loser, Hillary. Face it. Face it, and get back in the woods!

Hospitals, doctors and insurers criticize health bill | Hillary Clinton to launch ‘resistance’ PAC – MarketWatch

President Donald Trump congratulates House Speaker Paul Ryan at a White House celebration after the House passed the American Health Care Act on Thursday. Hospitals and doctors, among others, are criticizing the bill.

In a rare moment of unity, hospitals, doctors, health insurers and some consumer groups are urging significant changes, at minimum, to the Republican health-care bill that passed the House on Thursday, writes the New York Times.

The prospect of millions of people being unable to afford coverage if the bill becomes law led to an outcry from the health-care industry as well as consumer groups. They found an ally in some insurers, who rely heavily on Medicare and Medicaid as mainstays of their business. The bill, which is expected to undergo changes in the Senate, makes deep cuts to Medicaid.

And: Say what? Trump praises Australias universal health care.

Senate readies own bill: Senators arent content to just take up the House-passed bill, as comments collected by the Washington Post indicate. I think there will be essentially a Senate bill, said Sen. Roy Blunt of Missouri, the fourth-ranking Senate Republican.

One potential area for change: Republican senators from states that have expanded Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act also known as Obamacare have voiced concerns about rollbacks to that program in the House bill. Those senators include Rob Portman of Ohio and Shelley Moore Capito of West Virginia.

Clintons resistance PAC: CNN reports Hillary Clinton will soon launch a political organization aimed at funding resistance groups that are standing up to President Donald Trump. Trumps Democratic foe in the 2016 presidential election is working with former aides and donors to build an organization that will look to fund and invest in groups that have impressed her since she lost the contest, CNN says.

Freedom Caucus working on tax plan: The conservative House Freedom Caucus is crafting a tax-reform bill as the subject heats up in Congress, Politico reports. The caucus, which roiled an early effort to repeal and replace Obamacare, would be parachuting into what promises to be a pitched battle over another marquee issue. Politico says members appear to be more aligned with the Trump administration on how deep tax cuts should be.

Hillary Clinton Has a Warning for Twitter Trolls | Vanity Fair – Vanity Fair

Hillary Clinton has her eye on the Twitter trolls, and she came with a message for them at the 29th annual Gloria Awards at Capitale in New York City on Wednesday. Just as she did at Planned Parenthoods 100th Anniversary Gala on Tuesday, Clinton, this year's Gloria Awards Women of Vision honoree, told the crowd that she was out of the woods and ready to fight.

I just want all these Twitter trolls out there to know that maybe if you had left us alone, we might have gone out longer in the woods for our walks, but every time you hit those 140 characters demeaning womens voices and rights, were comin back at you, she said.

Clintons sentiment reflected the underlying theme of the annual awards dinner Wednesday night, We Wont Go Back, as activists and celebrities gathered to support the Ms. Foundation for Women. Gloria Steinem, along with her other co-founding mothers and Ms. Foundation president Teresa C. Younger, honored nine women whose trailblazing work has had an impact on a country on the cusp of an uncertain future.

Twitter was was another unofficial theme of the night. In her remarks introducing Clinton, Steinem said that women, especially, are warning Donald Trump that the past tense of Twitter is twat.

On that same note, actress Kathleen Turner told Vanity Fair on the red carpet that she has one wish for our Tweeter-in-Chief. I really wish that President Trump would speak better English, she said. I think that would be so nice.

Turner, who was joined in the crowd by other boldfaced names including Chelsea Handler, Martha Plimpton, Ann Curry, Kathy Najimy, and more, said any activist in this topsy-turvy political climate should choose a handful of causes to support. Her personal trifecta includes Meals on Wheels, People for the American Way, and Planned Parenthood.

Pick your three and show up, she said.

Following a live auction hosted by Younger and comedian Judy Gold at the end of the night, the organizers of the Womens March received the Marie C. Wilson Emerging Leaders Award. March organizer Linda Sarsour left attendees with one final call to action, before leading a rousing chant of resist throughout the dining room.

Our greatest hope is that women will create a groundswell of political participation and will work to get us free together . . . And yes, we will not go back.

At the after-party, Steinem told Vanity Fair that while the next four years have her doubtful, she remains hopeful, too. If we survive, which is a big if, we will be so much more activist and organized and connected with each other. The Trump resistance, she said, is encouragement alone: This is a thousand times bigger than anything Ive ever seen in my lifetime.

Order to Decrypt Digital Devices: A Violation of the Fifth Amendment? – The Legal Intelligencer

In United States v. Apple Macpro Computer, No. 15-3537 (Third Cir. March 20), the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit held that the district court properly found appellant John Doe in contempt of court for failing to comply with an order under the All Writs Act, 28 U.S.C. Section 1651, which required him to producein a fully unencrypted stateseveral devices that had been properly seized, but which were in an encrypted state. The court rejected the appellant's argument that his decrypting of the devices would force him to violate his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. The court's proper ruling is an important one, as encryption of devices is prevalent in the digital world, and decryption by the target is more and more the best and least costly way for the government to access the data in devices seized.
